I was looking at getting a 20GB Creative Zen. Are they any good?

I ended up buying something called the Archos Gmini. Small size and 20GB. Pretty good sound quality too. I'm impressed so far.

I was thinking of buyng one but then I bought the Sony Ericsson W900i phone, with a 2 GB memory stick (high speed) so I don't need one. I have all the music I need in that... 2.5 GB of music is more than enough...

Not for me - I had a 5gb and I was getting pissed because I had like 7.9gb at the time of music!  So I got a 20gb and then a 30!!  Cheesy

Well, I have 90 gigabytes of music on my PC, not including the lossless files. The question is, do I listen to all of them? And the more important question is, do I need all this music on the road with me?

The answer for me is simply NO.

So, my phone will do just fine for the next couple of years.

Yeah, I was talking about 7.9 that I listen to.  I get sick of a song fairly quickly...  so I need a lot of songs and videos to keep me amused Grin...  And I listen to my iPod at school during IT and writing and study times, and when I run and on the bus... so I use it 24/7 almost.

The phone sounds like a good option if you dont feel the need to have MEGA choice. 24/7

BTW - wowah 90 gig, man!  Shocked

I need some iTunes help... is there anyway to make a RANDOM playlist?!?!

I really like the "Smart Playlists" where you can limit it to specific albums, genres, artists, etc.  The problem is, I set it to pick random songs (and it does), but it ORGANIZES them by artist... so I have a bunch of random songs, but still in alphabetical order.  Can you get around this?

Or is there a way to play random songs through the iPod but limited to an album or genre?  The only thing I can find is the "Shuffle Songs" which includes them all...

Yeah, you should have a section called "Party Shuffle"  and it just choses random songs.  yes

Ok, thanks... I had never used this before, but is there a way to limit the Party Shuffle to a specific genre or album?  Like if I wanted to make a random playlist of Hip Hop songs... can you get the Party Shuffle to do this and then just copy the songs onto a playlist for your iPod?

You can limit it to a playlist - so make a playlist of all of the songs you would like to play in random, then down the bottom select Source: HipHop   (for example)

It's like when a computer freezes, nothing happens when I push the buttons. It's an iPod nano 2GB. Has this happened to anybody who owns iPods before ?

Added:

Even when I connect it to the charging cable through the computer, it does nothing.
