WASHINGTON ?? Jenna Bush, one of President and Mrs. Bush's twin daughters, is engaged to the son of Virginia's former lieutenant governor, the White House announced Thursday.

"President and Mrs. George W. Bush are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Bush, to Mr. Henry Hager, son of the Honorable and Mrs. John H. Hager of Richmond, Virginia. Miss Bush and Mr. Hager became engaged Wednesday, August 15, 2007," reads a release issued from the White House.

No wedding date has been set for the 25-year-old school teacher and Hager, a former White House intern who worked for Karl Rove. Hager's father is now a Bush administration official in the Education Department.

Hager, 29, and Bush were first seen out together at the inaugural balls in 2005. He is currently in his second year of grad school at University of Virginia's Darden

sorry, kids of public figures represent their parents in a way.  they absolutely are held to higher standards.  while my parents were far from famous they were well known in our community.  me getting in trouble was much bigger news than the local dip shit getting in trouble.

Not exactly.  A lack of charges could mean a number of things.  First (and most likely, I should add), no crime was committed.  Second, there isn't enough evidence to bring charges.  Third, a crime isn't reported.  Now, while I have many doubts about Bill Clinton being a rapist (or, to be more blunt, I don't believe Bill Clinton is a rapist), it all really comes down to the logic behind the idea that if A --> B, that does not imply that the presence of B means the presence of A.

Most people would think having a former President and current Senator as an inlaws would be damn good connections. I think all the hatred of Clinton goes back to the fact that he beat Dumbfuckya's father in the election.
