Guns n' Fuckin' Roses

Two great bands, two Monters of Rock, what do you think's better?
I remenber this question was asked Axl Rose at the Eddie Trunk' Show, remenber?, the answer of Axl was....(I'don want any kind of influence.. hihi)

-----------------------

In my opnion is JUDAS PRIEST, why?, I think Judas Priest has a better frontman, Rob Haldord has a vocal range more versatile than Dickinson, besides Judas 's discography has several style music, as Hard classic Rock (70's), Hard Rock and Heavy Metal (80 til' now), I think Maiden has better singles, but Judas Priest has better albums, and above all, amazins guitars, theis guitar solos are more emotional and more fellings...thefore Judas Priest is better in my opinion...

what do you think?....

I love both bands, and I would have to say Iron Maiden is more consistant.

...However when Priest/ Halford are on I think they top Maiden.  I would have to choose Priest for this one, at least until Maiden make an album as badass as "Painkiller."

I am not really a fan of either...but I will go with Iron Maiden....I guess I like them a little bit more...saw them in concert...kind of sucked because they performed the whole new album from start to finish....had I been a hardcore Maiden fan I would have loved it I guess....

I have never been a fan or listened to much Priest, but I can't imagine Painkiller being as good as Powerslave. Maiden is still good in my opionion but the run they had of albums from probably Killers-Powerslave is amazing.

Maiden takes the cake. I don't really see the big deal about Priest , they don't seem all that great to me. Turbo Lover! Sorry but The Trooper , Number of the beast , Run to the hills , Powerslave , Aces High , 2 minutes to midnight!!!

Wow, Turbo Lover is about as far from defining Priest as you can get. But the winner is..............Sabbath.

lyrically, I prefer Maiden.  Brave New World holds a special place in my collection.

That's not to stay that Priest doesnt have good lyrics.  The Sentinel, and Metal Gods are killer songs with great lyrics imo.

Despite numerous attempts, using albums from across their career, I've never been able to really get into Priest.

So I guess that's a vote for Maiden.

They are both great bands, but I'll have to go with Iron Maiden. Great, drums, guitars, bass, and of course Bruce Dickinson is one of the all time greats. Not to mention his stage presence, maybe the best i ever saw

Funny you say that, I was wearing my Powerslave hoodie earlier today, I agree it kicks ass but has some worse songs like the duelists and I find Losfer words kind of boring.  If you have never listened to Painkiller before I can not recommend buying that album enough, it is awesome.

I can see what you mean about the duelists, but losfer words is one of my favorite instrumentals.

Maiden by far.  They're better in every way.  Priest are just too straight-forward for my taste.  I love Painkiller and like Screaming for Vengeance and a couple of othe albums but there's not much to keep me interested.  Maiden's music is genius at times.

Both bands are absolutely AWESEOME!! But i have to go with Maiden as they are my all-time favourite band, and will be seeing them live this year at Twickenham Stadium!

Priest have great stuff ('Painkiller' is fantastic!), and have great riffs, lyrics and melodies, but Maiden just seem more powerful and are undeniably better song-writers ('Hallowed Be Thy Name!'

this is such a tough one... If I was asked this a couple of years ago I woulda said Priest - no questions asked; no hesitation needed. But recently I've gotten into Maiden and now they're both neck n' neck 4 me.

Since the new song was streamed online ('Nostradamus'), Priest have SERIOUSLY gone up in my estimations!
