Anyone want to share what a year 2007 was for them?

My highs:

- My sister giving birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl on December 27th.
- My mothers birthday.
- Getting a PS3 for Christmas.
- Christmas
- Going to the beach for a week in August.
- Seeing The Bourne Ultimatum at the movies.



My lows:

- Not traveling to Europe.

Highs: *no order of importance*

Losing 15 more pounds and adding a lot of lean muscle
Going back to School and finishing up my first semester in 7 years with good grades
Getting promoted to a supervisor position at work  in 5 months
Running 1000 miles for the entire year
breaking a lot of personal times in 3 mile, 4 mile, 5 mile, 6 mile and 7 mile runs
Joining a kick ass Rock Band
my relationship staying very solid and strong after over 3 years
making a bunch of new friends at school and work
Getting a kick ass High Def TV *material possessions* OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAH!!
Getting and becoming friends with a Personal Trainer



Lows:
a couple of deaths in the family
not going home and visiting much
getting laid off at work
not finishing my CD
Chinese Democracy not being released
Getting nearly 400 dollars stolen from me at the YMCA

2007 was like the slightly more ambitious sequel to the worst movie of all time, being 2006. See, 2007 literally had nowhere to go but up, so in that sense it was an improvement, but to such a minor degree that it becomes a spectacular failure all its own. I'm sorry, but the past two years of my life have been the absolute worst. 2006 saw me so low I'm sometimes surprised I made it to 2007. I had so many high hopes for the (then) new year that to still barely be able to lift my head up long enough to catch my breath was really, really disappointing. I hope to god 2008 proves different. I'm really putting my all into this. 2007 at least ended better than it began....

turning 16
getting a job
starting highschool
losing 14 pounds
a few new friends
new computer, and mp3 player
joining htgth

low points:
my two closest pets died
a few other incidents i rather not say
no chidem

oh yeah, I forgot one more. I can't believe I forgot this one:

highs:
saw bob dylan in concert
my first concert ever! That was definately a highlight!
hopefully I'll see gnr sumtime in my life

for me the years  2001 to 2004 were the worst years of my life. 2005 it started turning around and now 2007 and 2008 have been two of the most amazing years of my life.

2008 will rule for you  : ok:

Highs:
My wife hated where we were living and her job, so we moved back home and she is going back to school, and I'm really happy that she's so much happier (and straight A's her first semester back). 

My best friend had a baby and calls me "uncle," which is cool.  Fake uncles rule!

Colts won the Superbowl...without cheating, Pats fans! 

Cubs made the playoffs...let's make a real showing in '08!

My political beliefs really solidified a lot as I thought them through considerably

They still make single malt Scotch whisky...it's still good.

They still make craft brews...they're still good.

Axl and Baz were cool together, though Baz gets most of the credit and a lot of applause for making one helluva album.

Lows:

I have a good family friend who's had cancer...well, for years now.  He just can't seem to get over it, and he's honestly the nicest person (well...maybe second to his wife) that I know.  Hoping '08 is an improvement for him.

Still a slave to the capitalist system of oppression (that one's partially for WAT-EVER...wherever he is and whatever model he's banging).

Highs:  Finding out that my wife and I are expecting a little boy
             Buying a house
            rescueing a dog that someone dumped near our house
            Seeing Modest Mouse, Band of Horses and the Arcade Fire live
             Travel to Montana, Yellowstone and Minneapolis for free

Lows:  Yankees playoff struggles
            Purdue football struggles
            Bush didn't get impeached or violently overthrown

Let's just say Happy New Year again.

Low:  Came into the new year with my best friend in the hospital with a broken neck/skull

High:  Everything since then.... each year gets better and I don't see why that should stop in 2008.

low: loss of direction and, loss of lengthy relationship with now ex girlfriend, no god damn chinese democracy

highs:discovering how great music really is, regaining direction, making music, looking cooler than the year before ;), getting myself a badass machine known as a rickenbacher 4003 bass guitar, getting all of motley crues albums and loving almost all of them, minus generation swine onwards.

after about 5 listens, I really love Generation Swine.......

So how'd ya like Minneapolis, it's not reallt as great as people say it is though.

it's been a horrible year for me in almost all aspects, that ended with a bang: the death of my much loved grandfather on the 23rd of December.

Highs: The good friends I had around me, and I did go to quite a few gigs including the Led Zeppelin one.

highs: being back home, meeting sin_cut, some fun parties, reconciliation with a friend, my bday

lows: meeting sin_cut  :hihi: dog having epilepsy  :(, grandma in hospital  :( and fights generally

lowest during xmas :

My brother told me he was only my half brother and stopped there, just before he put me on a train back to london.

A brother is a brother is a brother.  There is no such thing as someone being only a percentage of a brother.


I know this for a fact because I got seven of them.  And even though one of them is of American Indian lineage and one is of Barbadian lineage and others of Portuguese lineage and the others are the same lineage as me, they are all 100% my brothers.  :beer:


My sister, on the other hand, is from another planet  :P .......... but she's still 100% one of us.  : ok:



As for my highs and lows of 2007:
I dealt with the lows and moved forward so I choose to only remember the highs.
And my biggest high is how very very proud I am of "my two boys"  :)

This is a funny run down of the year.

- Partying alot..A real lot (bad )
- Quit smoking ( good )
- Went to jail over the night..x 2 (bad )
- Had good grades ( good )

Had alot of fun !...Great year..Will miss it !
