I went to school with Billy Joe and Mike from Green Day, for a few years.  They were one year older than me, but we had mutual friends and spoke occasionally. 

I had the opportunity to buy a 45, for $1,  that they produced themselves in 1987.  I passed.  Wish I had that thing now!  What an investment!

my girlfriends dad was in school with john lennon.a couple of years younger than lennon an he had a book out of the library which was previously loaned by mr lennon himself.im not to sure if he still has the book.ill find out

When my mom was little, she lived in the same block of flats as Eric Clapton did. Apparantly he kept getting complaints from all the pensioners in the building cuz of his guitar practising. Eventually he left because all the pensioners were annoying him. hihi

i don't know if you'd call this a "claim to fame", but Hank Fraley (philadelphia eagles center) lived a few houses away from me. i got to know him real well - real nice guy. the cool part was his wife watched a few games over my house and would tell us trick plays they were gonna run.
