it's called the north pole. it's not there because its not a land mass. it's a hunk of ice....... a shrinking one?
of more concern should be the 'larson b ice shelf' in antarctica. (the shouth pole) it's been breaking off at a massive rate and when it's gone, the ice behind it will begin flowing into the ocean. then the sea level around the globe will rise quickly.

on the topic of ice........ and sea level changes, lets talk displacement.... water displacement and the state changes of water.
what happens when water freezes? it expands increasing its volume and decreasing its density..... which is why it floats. if all teh ice currently floating in the oceans of the world melted there would be no drastic sea level change. however as you highlighted the main concern is the Ice that is not already in the ocean melting and making its way into the oceans. this will dramaticly affect global sea level...... hardest hit would be equtorial coast lines.
