DONALD RUMSFELD CHARGED WITH TORTURE DURING TRIP TO FRANCE

Complaint Filed Against Former Defense Secretary for Torture, Abuse at Guant?namo and Abu Ghraib


Today, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) along with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR), and the French League for Human Rights (LDH) filed a complaint with the Paris Prosecutor before the ?Court of First Instance? (Tribunal de Grande Instance) charging former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld with ordering and authorizing torture.

More toilet paper? what's it's worth?? They don't have any authority to do anything.? What are the outcome of these endless mock trials and investigations?? Did either France or Germany investigate themselves for the oil for food scams or breaking the military trade embargo with Iraq after the Gulf war which both countries were on the allies side? Nah.? I don't condone torture in it's "spooky definition" and I don't condone wasting tax payers money with investigations that sell horseshit for some political agendas or some media outlets bottom line of any kind.

A nice gesture, though ineffective.  The ICC hasn't been ratified by the US, so it has no authority to bring Rumsfeld to trial.  And universal jurisdiction exists only in theory.
