There are two different types of magic.  The type of magic you speak of, which is based on illusion, not actual magic. 

Then there is magic that is used for religious purposes.  Christians call it praying, Pagans call it spellcasting.  It's basically the use of the strength of the mind to make things happen as you will.  The result is magic (for pagans) and miracles (for christians).

Of course, I know there are going to be those that disagree with that... oh well.

I agree with you. Just because we don't know some strange things about life doesn't mean they doesn't exist. It's very selfish to just say without making a search first that those things are crap. This stuff is covered a lot by parapsychology anyway.

Personally, i am less superstitious than some who don't believe in anything, BUT, i do have stones anc crystals in my house and try to not think of negative things in fear they happen and i try to think of good for others.
