no that won't happen they would be openers at best if it would happen but i highly doubt it will and if tesla is touring this spring and summer they'd be in the U.S. right while G'n'R are clear across the fucking globe maybe theres a 25% chance it'll happen in the fall or next winter but not this spring or summer.

Tesla is a very good band infact they started mtv unplugged when they fought record company to release 5 man acoustical jam album. They also are one of a few bands that record souly on 2 inch tape claiming no Machines. There last album into the now was rated top metal albunms in hit parader.  Axl is so pro tooled out. He may not even reconize his own voice at times...lol

I still say Tesla would be a perfect match.

I think they should get someone new or somewhat relevant to whats happening today. GNR and Telsa might seem a bit too nostalgic.

Agreed. What sets GNR apart from their contemporaries is that they were not just another band.

An 80's metal band

corection

an acoustic 80s (kinda) hair Metal band......they're alright i guess just it was way different to have a Hair Metal band back then that didn't whare make-up or play electric guitars, they did, how ever, did play both styles of guitars. i find them to be an ok band to listen to when nothing else is good on the radio. I put them in the same category as RATT and cinderella if you listen to them to much you either start to get pissed off or turn into a pussy Tongue

hell it was all good back then imo headbanger

peace

C'mon guys! ?First of all, it won't happen, but if it did, that wouldn't be a bad show to go to. It would actually be a kick ass rock concert. ? Contrary to what most of think, Tesla has a big enough name to carry themselves for a small headline tour. ?

To play devils advocate here though............ ?So what some of you are basically saying is Tesla wouldn't be a good fit to open for GNR but bands like "living things, Xutos, Sex action, funeral for a friend, bullet for my valentine, and Shakra are good enough? ?Makes sense to me!!!!! ?How many "Shakra" cd's are in your collections? ?LOL.

just kidding dude but i'm not saying Testla wouldn't be a good opener its just that Axl and G'n'R already have that covered and they only have shitty bands like that open because they're cheep Testla i dont know about but if they opened for G'n'R and if they came any where close to Omaha, NE i'd go for sure yes

I think tesla would be a great opener for gn'r, just imagine if they opened and did a slow, maybe even a slow acoustic version of love song to close thier set......and 45 minutes later the opening riff of wttj...the crowd would go wild. what I'm trying to say is I think they would get the crowd ready for gn'r, without getting booed off the stage (11/24/06 fucking bird shit).....that's all. According to my brother....Tesla was the shit in 1988.  My old man brother (nine years older than me) saw them in a high school gym at the time and still says it was the best concert he's ever been to.  It might have something to do with the fact that he got laid by a groupie, but then again this is Tesla we're talking about.

I'd love to see Tesla open for Guns.  I've always wanted to see them live but have never gotten around to it.  That'd be as good a reason as any.  However, I highly doubt it would happen.  Guns seems intent on taking up and coming bands and Baz, cuz he's an old friend.  I don't think Axl has any history with the guys in Tesla.

I saw Tesla and Cinderella in a bar long ago (probably around when LCS's old man brother saw them) and they were great.  They would kick the shit out of Mix Master Mike.  ok

Tesla played in Thunder Bay, Canada, my home town, a year and a half ago in a small bar.  It was by far the best concert I have ever seen in my life.  In the early 90's I had a 5 disc CD player.  4 of those slots were for AFD, Lies, UYI 1&2...the other for Tesla-Five Man Acoustical Jam.
The show they put on was amazing.  They were tight and really into it. (if you could look past Jeff Keith's continuous bleeding nose...)  I would love to see them again.  And tickets were only $15.  hope they stop over in my neck of the woods again.

I actually suggested Tesla as an opening band for GNR. You need to listen to "Five Man Acoustic Jam" cd. Is is all acoustic, sounds great, and the songs rock! Yeah. They are old school but they are putting out a new CD and I don't see Ratt, Cinderella, etc... doing anything these days. It would be a kick ass show! I will probably go to see Tesla this summer if they tour.

they are talented enough to be co-headline, but no where near big enough to be co-headline with guns.
