and i have to take a plane to south of france this friday

Somebody wasn't doing his/her job. Things like that don't just happen for no reason. It's a tragedy, but most of all it's uncalled for. If a plane is really old or needs to be worked on a lot, then it's time to ditch it.

Some of our planes are pushing or over 20 yrs old...Too me, that is time to retire them.

There are hundreds of planes flying everyday in U.S.A.
Imagine all around the world.
In my opinion the complete responsible is the company in most cases, at least on the last accident that occured in my country. (Plane from Cyprus crashed on Marathon).
