I've searched for a Tori Amos thread on the board and couldn't find one. If I'm too stupid to be able to find one. my bad...

Anyway, been listening to her a lot lately. Great stuff. Since so many fans of GN'R love "Estranged" and "November Rain," gunners on this board may also like her music as well. She's all about? piano-led, reflective, morose, confessionals.

I love Tori Amos.

Her music is intense, powerful, and creative.  It's extremely feminine, but it's still so intense, her music just bleeds emotion.  Definitely recomend everyone checking her out!

i  am a huge fan of tori amos too actually.can never get enough of her stuff.
i have some of her albums which are pretty good.
however my favourite stuff of hers is her covers.
you have to check out her versions of,smells like teen spirit, losing my religion, love song by the cure, and also wrapped around your finger from the police.
they are the best covers ever.

check all her stuff out.

There is a Tori Amos thread somewhere, I wrote a post in the last 3 months.

Anyway, Tori's great, she's really great, she's my new favourite in the music scene since GN'R broke up. I collect live performances from only two bands/singers: GN'R (and the post-projects) and Tori.

What do you think her best album is? I really like "Under the Pink" and "To Venus and Back."

"Winter" from "Little Earthquakes" has got to be one of the most beautiful songs ever.

precious is an amazing song - but I love the album from the choirgirl hotel the most.  That was the first time I saw tori play live - and it was Plugged - so she had a full band (usually its just her and her piano) - it was INCREDIBLE. seriously one of the best performances ever.   I would love to find a recording of any gig from this tour as it was so good.  So moved, I cried!

Choirgirl Hotel is the best, but I think she has released a lot of great albums, and although they first two is similar, every other is very different. I like, I love every album, maybe her cover LP, Strange Little Girls is the weakest one.

yeah i saw her at glastonbury in the accoustic tent and she was mind-blowing. it was just with her piano and her organ but it didn't feel as though anything was missing. she had everyone in the tent totally spellbound which was cool cos i dragged some friends along who didn't really want to go and they were converted.

i agree, winter is a beutifull song but they're all beutifull so it would be too hard to pick favourates.

Next tuesday a 12 CD Tori set is comming out--live bootlegs of the 2005 tour.

She has released 5 double bootlegs so far, so I think the 6th is on its way - it makes the 12 CDs. (If you order the first 5, you'll get the 6th for free with other extras as well.)

Sorry, I've just realized that she releases the whole bunch as a boxed set.

does it have any covers on it?
like teen spirit or losing my religion.or wrapped around your finger.cos beautiful doesnt come close to the versions of those songs i have heard.
i love winter and crucify and god and prescious things, and so many more are great but i think she does the best covers bar none.

Not sure the tracklist of the boxset. Would be great if Tori played "November Rian."
