I saw Silvertide open for Slaughter and Warrant back in August.  I thought they were a decent band.  Definitely better than most new bands out there.

I just picked up Silvertide's 3-song EP.

There's more pure rock 'n' roll packed in this cd than anything since Beautiful Creatures 2001 self-titled release.

I'm really looking forward to their first full-lenght cd release early next year.

I HIGHLY recommend their EP- "American Excess".

I went to the Darkness show last sunday in Madrid. Darkness had a 3 day tour around Spain, sat, sun and monday. A band called Rocket Science opened in Madrid (  they fucking suck!!!!)

Darkness show was about an hour long. The entire album was played, plus a couple of songs I was not familiar with. It was a fun show. Justin ( or dustin..whatever the singer's name is) tried to interact with the crowd asking how to say motherfucker in spanish ( very typical)...he followed the crowd by saying : " get your hands off my woman hijo de puta". He wore 3 different outfits ( not as many as axl...) and sounded very good.

If anyone wants to know, they finished with Love on the rocks. Good show.

i couldn't agree more.....that's exactly what it is, just pure rock n' roll.

I've been waiting for this album for 2 years! This band is really good. Hopefully they get a good push from their label, cause they are pure rock n roll.

This is from an e-mail they sent out.....
"We've also got some album news. Our official release date has been announced, June 8th of this year "Show & Tell" Silvertide's debut album will hit shelves. This record is a culmination of years of work and includes material from all different time periods in Silvertide's existence. You'll find some material you've never heard and some of you will hear some old favorites. The official track listing will be as follows:
Devil's Daughter
SFC
California Rain
Mary Jane
Nothing Stays
Blue Jeans
To See Where I Hide
Heartstrong
You Want It All
Ain't Comin Home
Foxhole
Whichever is your case we're excited to bring it to you and hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Stay tuned, as we'll be bringing you more tour information shortly!"

Just want to check this band out.

there's a couple songs available for download at their website which Axls Loco provided.

they have an EP out there called American Excess. definitely worth a listen.

it's interesting that their album is coming out around the same time as VR's, and both are with clive davis.  i'm hoping this is a sign that rock is coming back strong.

if we're lucky enough to have a new gnr record, that would be 3 (potentially) great rock albums out within weeks of each other.

Silvertide is touring with Tantric for about a month beginning Feb. 25.

Not sure what their plans are after that.

By the way, the name of their new album has a hometown reference.....Show n Tell is the name of a strip joint in Philly.  hihi

Also very fitting that their first full-length cd Show n' Tell is being released same day as Contraband.

June 8th, 2004- the day rock reclaims a spot in the music industry.

It would make it the best day in rock since Sept. 16th, 2001, if Beautiful Creatures would release their sophomore album- Duece on June 8th as well.

The Darkness, VR, BC, Silvertide.........I had a feeling 2004 was gonna be the year!!

The first I heard of these guys was yesterday when I read in the headlines section that they are opening for VR on their first 6 shows.

i grew up around the corner from this band. i've seen them play several times in small clubs in philly over the last 3 years. they were only 16-17 years old at the time. and just about everyone that's ever seen them is convinced they'll make it huge some day.

my cousin writes for a magazine and just got an advanced copy of their cd, which he's reviewing. he said it sounds awesome.

i can't wait. like k-rock said...music is getting interesting again.

i visited the silvertide website to see what the fuss was about. And the thing has a player to hear the songs.

well hot damn, this band rocks. Fuck i can't believe this is a band from today, they are rock n roll. I really hope they make it big, i love the songs that i heard. I'll definetly be buying their album, shit, i cant get over them hahahah.

This is how rock bands should be, i can't wait til these sorts of bands make a come back and show the world that rock n roll isnt dead, just went on vacation.

Now im gonna go play my guitar so that i'll become a god and join the wave.

Silvertide rock! beer

I would suggest that everybody who has missed real rock go out and buy the 3-song Ep American Excess.....but there's only 5 more weeks to wait to buy Show & Tell.

I believe the best song of the 3 on the EP, Mary Jane, made it to their full lenght cd.

I also love that the bass in Mary Jane really stands out.  You know the bass player is there.

And yes sandman is correct........Nick Perri is incredible.
