« Reply #28 on: March 22, 2006, 07:00:07 AM »

the worst nominations ive ever seen, all those albums range from terrible to average.

Couldn't agree more!!

What about 'The Stone Roses' probably the best album of the 80's besides Appetite, but it aint heavy enough for you guys!

first off, Stone Roses are virtually unknown in North America they had like one radio song
secondly, that single was Love Spreads from Second Coming (which was released in 94)

Good point... us here in North America don't hear a lot of fantastic music that comes out, yet the music is no less relevant because we don't hear it... I like to think that the music industry expands outside of North America and that music doesn't have to be heard by us to be considered "great."  I'm sure there are some albums that were only released in North America that never made it to other parts of the world.  Does this make these albums any less great?  I don't think so.

This is also true!  peace

But, if the people outside of North America think it's worthy of being nominated, maybe we should check into the matter.   Wink

Exactly.

They're happy to come along and complain about what everyone else is picking but they don't nominate anyone themselves so when they don't get in they only have themselves to blame and if they don't want to take part it baffles me why they keep popping into the threads coming up with wise ass comments...... Another great point... people shouldn't complain unless they are going to try and do something about it themselves.

Alright then, I nominate The Stone Roses- The Stone Roses

Now watch it get voted off 1st!!? Grin

Seriously tho people, check this band out if you don't know them, they're quite mellow so if you're into heavier stuff you might not like it but they're worth a look.

Gimme some feedback if you do have a listen!

Made of Stone, I wanna be adored and Mersey Paradise are real treats!
