Maybe it's because I'm not a hardcore Prince fan and don't have as high expectations, but I quite liked the new album the first time I listened to it. yes Stuff like Compassion, Future Soul Song and Everybody Loves Me stood out to me.

Prince is one hell of a talented person...

I know it's like his most famous song, but Purple Rain is such a brilliant song. Also, what a solo, he sure knows how to play instruments as well as singing.

That's why he's so good, he has everything going for him in terms of knowledge and skills.  Cool

Thanks.  Those videos were pretty cool.  Everything was choreographed so well, and the musicians are so good.  Prince is such a great guitar player too.   Those parts with him on guitar were awesome.

Prince is on tour in Canada.  I have never seen him before, so I'm quite excited.  From what I hear, his setlists are all over the place.  Anybody see him before?

Graffiti Bridge is a very underrated Prince album. Movie was shitty but the album is very good:Check out: Question of U, Joy In Repetition, Thieves In The Temple, and "Still Would Stand All Time"

Dude, it's such a burn.  When he did his Forum residency earlier this year, I was out in the midwest!  Luckily I was back home by the end of the residency and caught a date.

Prince was here last night, and it was incredible.  He did three or four encores and wouldn't stop.  I was very glad he played Baby I'm A Star (ended his 2.5 hour show with it...second longest set I've seen as GN'R was either just under or just past 3 hours in 2010 here).

I wish he'd play some of his early 90's stuff on concerts (like My Name Is Prince, 7, and Endorphinmachine), but when you have as many hits as His Royal Badness you'd be there all night!

Now seriously, Prince is a living legend, but the last CD I remember really enjoying was Diamonds and Pearls.

U really should check out The Gold Experience then. It came out around 94 and was an awesome album.  Emancipation is 3 disc masterpiece also.

With the recent death of Prince perhaps GNR will honor him with a tribute..Maybe a Purple Rain intro into November Rain or Axl singing When Doves Cry or Little Niki..Any other thoughts from someone with a little more Prince background?
