Title: GN'R haters-fuck off
Post by: RichardNixon on July 19, 2006, 11:03:05 PM
This is not aimed at any one person, per se, but at a few rotten apples who are spoiling the board.

You are ruining the board. Fuck off. You are not true fans. You are not welcome. Go away.

That is all.

Just look at tonight?s concert thread. They played 21 songs and the show was ended, one song short, yet you have bitching, bitching, bitching.

?Oh, Axl is gonna get crucified in the press, wha, wha, wha.?

Just shut the fuck up. These fuckers are ruining the board with their negative vibes. This board is a sanctuary for true fans and it?s being invaded.

Just because some people havent got their head so far up Axl's ass that they can call him a sissy for walking off stage after getting a coin thrown at him does not mean they hate GNR. God, you act like this is a facist regime where you can only praise everything Axl does

Plain and simple, Axl is just a little bitch.? Yeah, lets throw a tantrum like a three year old because someone hit him with a coin.? What an unprofessional asshole move.? This tour is quickly becoming a joke.? It has now truly turned into a greatest hits tour and it should be called "Welcome to Amateur Hour with Axl Rose".? People should throw stuff at him not out of principle.? I think we are about to see another band implosion and CD will never see the light of day.?

its mainly these hardcore slash/anti-axl fans who like to fuck around the board a lot. most people dont seem to realize that.

Say what you want, but you would probably be pissed if they walked off at a concert you were at without playing PC. It would certainly leave a sour taste for an otherwise great evening. From the 3 concerts I have been too it is actually one of my favorite songs to see live, and I would certainly be upset if they walked off without playing it short of Axl dying on stage. For people to voice their displeasure is not out of bounds.

I am a big Slash fan and I defended Axl's actions today. ?If you want to lash out at people because they didn't get to see 2 1/2 more songs today fine. ?I agree their bitching is a little uncalled for. ?But don't put a spin on what happened today to bash fans of the old school band.

BTW - Aren't these the same people bitching that they want to hear different songs? That means they are willing to embrace the new band.  My view, anytime Axl walks on stage it is worth it no matter how many songs and no matter who is playing behind him.

When I went to the Dec 29th show in Vegas they didn't play nightrain(Nightrain is one of the songs I really wanted to see), and there was no encore.  I didn't care.  I loved the show.  Anyways if somebody was throwing shit I wouldn't want to keep playing anyways.  It is also not like he lieft after 10 songs.  He only cut the set one song from the night before.  Get over it.

I agree that tonight Axl had every right to not finish the show if someone threw something on stage.  But my problem with your post is that basically it says that if I do not love everything Axl says or do then I'm not a true fan, I'm a hater.  While I too would've walked off the stage tonight if someone would've thrown something at me.  I do not love or agree with everything that Axl says or do.  And I AM A TRUE FAN.  I have been a fan since 1987.  I have watched every member of this band leave except Axl.  And I have bought every Snakepit albums, I bought Duff's solo record, I bought a fe of Izzy's record, I bought the Neurotic Outsiders record, Gilby's solo records and I bought Velvet Revolver's album because it was from former members of Guns N' Roses.  And as for Axl, I have been waiting for him to release CD for the last ten years.  I went to see them in Montreal only to see Axl walk off for no reason that night after 3 songs.  I have accepted the new members with opened arms.  I think I qualify at being a TRUE FAN of Guns N' Roses.  BUT!  I do not agree with everything that Axl says or do.  I do not agree with the fact that we still have not had a release date.  I do not agree that we have been kept in the dark for so long.  I understand that your post was not aimed at anyone in particular.  But if someone does not agree with the fact that Axl walked off the stage tonight, well it doesn't mean they are not a true fan.  They may be disappointed, but still a fan.  Being a Guns N' Roses fan and a Axl fan does not imply kissing his ass and worship everything the guy says or do.  Grow up pal!

Wow, slow down...I'm talking about people like this:

Plain and simple, Axl is just a little bitch. ?Yeah, lets throw a tantrum like a three year old because someone hit him with a coin. ?What an unprofessional asshole move. ?This tour is quickly becoming a joke. ?It has now truly turned into a greatest hits tour and it should be called "Welcome to Amateur Hour with Axl Rose". ?People should throw stuff at him not out of principle. ?I think we are about to see another band implosion and CD will never see the light of day. ?

And this:

Axl used to be such a badass.  Now he is a joke .  If the album is ever released I'll buy it and listen to it objectively  but until then I am done with this band.   I also refuse to go to any U.S shows unless a single  or the album is released .   ENOUGH IS ENOUGH  already .  Even though this tour has sold well ( tickets )  nobody but the Axl fans seem to give a shit about him anymore . If nobody in Europe gives a fuck about him anymore  imagine  how the response is going to be here in the U.S .   He's going to have to perform in some 80's mullet haired  reject bars   because he sure as hell won't be filling any arenas  with this pathetic  setlist  and no album .   I thought he was starting to put things together  I was fuckin wrong there.   FUCK YOU AXL !!!

Just because you don't agree with everything Axl does, doesnn't mean you're not a fan. Myself, i'm a huge fan of this band, but I don't like the touring guitarist. Bumble doesn't play on CD and had no part in its creation, so I feel it's my right to voice my opinion. I know the Axl and the band read these boards,so I figure if enough of us say we don't like Bumble, and want Bucket back, maybe Axl will try and make it happen.

If the band read boards and hired guitarists based on what fans think, Slash would be playing lead guitar for GNR right now. Keep on dreaming if you think Bucket's coming back.

I just want the band that plays on Chinese Democracy, to tour and play the songs. Seeing Bumble fuck up the TWAT and IRS solos is not what I want to hear at a GnR show. I want to see a KFC chicken eating MoFo with Num Chucks rip it up. I've seen both Bucket and Bumble in person, so I'm not just talking out my ass.

In one statement you surmised the plight of 90% of the GNR fan base in terms of wanting to see the band that wrote all the old hits play the old hits, which currently comprise over 80% of the shows. Seeing Robin screw up some of the solos he does every night gives many fans the same cringe you describe with Bumble.

With time you will get used to it, just like the rest of us have.

At least the old band got to play their songs live together. We won't ever get to hear all of the new band play their songs live if they don't fire Ron and get Bucket back.

Well, when you're a GNR fan you have to accept the fact that outside of Axl, membership is a revolving door that could change at any moment. We have been through something like 15 different band members, with Axl as the only constant. Consider it a sports franchise with the same owner every year. The faces may change, but the name remains the same. So Bucket put in his time, got paid, and is gone. Bumble replaced him, and in due time I am sure someone will eventually replace him as well. It comes with the territory of being a GNR fan.

It really does seem that a lot of people here just post over and over about wanting the band to fail or are just waiting for the shoe to drop.  We should be rallying for them since this is the most completed tour since god knows when....If you love this band, stick behind them, the setbacks have not really been that many thus far (and not that out of the ordinary for GNR if you have followed this band as long as I have) and they still are managing to get out there every night even when they have one which is something we haven't seen in a long ass time!  Things seem to get to paranoia phase so easily here and I can understand that in some way due to what happened in 2002 but instead of the negativity I would love to see more positive views for them coming back every time now even when something goes wrong. ;)

Dick Nixon, what the fuck gives you the right to hold judgement over whether someone is a "true" GnR fan? ?I stumbled across Appetite the week it came out, I saw them in a small venue in 88 before they were huge. ?I helped build the bandwagon, I didn't come jumping on just a few years ago. ?I have since seen every incarnation of this band and its revolving members so by my estimation I have earned the right to be critical. ?When Axl acts like a bitch I am not afraid to say so. ?After all the shit he has pulled in recent years I think that he needs to be a lot more respectful to his fans. ?A coin hitting him should not end the night. ?We have been sucking on it for 13 years now, the least Axl can do is suck it up for one more song. ?Yes, I am greatly disappointed in the lack of new material on this tour as I was when I attended the 2002 Chicago show and HOB 2001. ?I wonder if the new stuff even exists sometimes! ?Sorry I am not going to blow Axl like most do on this board. ?He fucks up....a lot. ?He can't walk on water and I refuse to sugarcoat everything that he does. ?Sometimes you have to calla spade a spade or in this case a bitch a bitch.

For all of you Axl haters out there shut up and go away. I'm sick of it and so is everyone else.  You don't like the setlist, hate Bumblefoot, Axl's late, Axl drove Slash away, (Slash woudn't have gone if Slash didn't want to go) oooooh Axl swore, big fuckin' deal, what's new, grow up...cry, cry cry...that's all you hear.  You whiney little bitches make me sick...go listen to U2 if you need stability in life.  This is the closest we've ever got to CD finally coming out and all you wanna do is bitch. We have had an awesome tour from GN'R this year...everything has been going well, and because of a few bumps along the way you wanna chalk it up to Axl being an asshole again.  All you wanna do is interpret everything and pretend you know what's going on in his head or his life or in the band and you have no idea; so why don't you do us all a favor and fuck off!  When Axl is back on top with a c.d. out who is gonna come crawling back saying they were a fan all along...yeah, you know who you are.  Chinese Democracy will come out this year...fuckin' count on it  And what are you gonna do about it...whine because there aren't enough songs or 'cause Better or CITR isn't on it.  I can already hear it now. So either shut up and enjoy the ride...or get the fuck off the plane...cause there aint' no more stops...buckle up and hold on!!!!! 8) Don't ruin it for the rest of us...we can use our illusions.

And to our administrators...I'm sorry...it had been to be done...it's been building up inside of me for so fucking long!

Your points kinda get lost in the nonstop spewing of vulgarity.  Is all the hate necessary to make your point?  If you don't like the band now possibly you should be posting in the section dedicated to the former members and hang out with the others that cannot get out of 1988.

I agree with this post 100%. I guess I was able to weed through the "nonstop vulgarity" ::) What many of you fail to realies is that alot of the people "bitchin" are ture fans who  have been so for a very long time. Nobody would be here if they weren't a true fan of Axl. I'm a perfect example. I think the guy is amazing when it comes to the music but as far as his persona goes he's as flakey as they come.  He cuts the set short because of a fucking coin? Unreal. Axl's got the wrong attitude. Address the little bitch who threw the coin and finnish the show for the rest of the fans who are there for a great time and not to throw shit.  Did anyone ever see that clip of Robbie Williams getting pushed right off the stage by some crazy fan? The guy came running up from behind him and drilled him hard right off the stage. Anyways that's a million times worse than some coin and Robbie Williams sucked it up and finnished the show. No blameing the security, no slamming his mic down and walking off. He sucked it up. That's one example  in the history of rock shows where someone has thrown something at the stage and the band deals with it and moves on.  Axl needs to get a clue.

Sincerly: A True Fan for 16 years, one who loves the old band and is pulling for the new one

By the way, before anyone feels the need to share,  nobody gives a shit what your opinions are on Robbie Williams. That's not the point.

All you wanna do is interpret everything and pretend you know what's going on in his head or his life or in the band and you have no idea; so why don't you do us all a favor and fuck off!? When Axl is back on top with a c.d. out who is gonna come crawling back saying they were a fan all along...yeah, you know who you are.? Chinese Democracy will come out this year...fuckin' count on it? And what are you gonna do about it...whine because there aren't enough songs or 'cause Better or CITR isn't on it.? I can already hear it now. So either shut up and enjoy the ride...or get the fuck off the plane...cause there aint' no more stops...buckle up and hold on!!!!! 8) Don't ruin it for the rest of us...we can use our illusions.

And to our administrators...I'm sorry...it had been to be done...it's been building up inside of me for so fucking long!

Let me get this straight... You say if we need stability in life we should go listen to U2 yet here you are starting a thread which is basicallya  plea for stability and harmony on this board. Hmmmm....Here's a thought for ya.  If you want everyone on the board to agree on everything and praise the band and their singer nonstop and not have any controversy than how about you go to a U2 forum. We'll stay here and represent what Guns N' Roses has always been about: Speaking our minds and  not censoring ourselves because it might upset someone. It only makes sense that since Guns and Axl are tempermental and explosive and unpredictable and moody that thier fans just might be that way also. Get a clue.

Bono, I like that post, putting in the context you did, cause it is so true, GNR fans are as volitle as the band, so in a sick wierd way, we act, as such. IS it good or bad, I dunno, its funny at times at least in my eyes, but at the end of the day, as a fan for 20 yrs of all things that is GNR, sometimes the irony of the actions of the fans and the abnd, or axl are sscary parrallels.lol

Dick Nixon, what the fuck gives you the right to hold judgement over whether someone is a "true" GnR fan?  I stumbled across Appetite the week it came out, I saw them in a small venue in 88 before they were huge.  I helped build the bandwagon, I didn't come jumping on just a few years ago.  I have since seen every incarnation of this band and its revolving members so by my estimation I have earned the right to be critical.  When Axl acts like a bitch I am not afraid to say so.  After all the shit he has pulled in recent years I think that he needs to be a lot more respectful to his fans.  A coin hitting him should not end the night.  We have been sucking on it for 13 years now, the least Axl can do is suck it up for one more song.  Yes, I am greatly disappointed in the lack of new material on this tour as I was when I attended the 2002 Chicago show and HOB 2001.  I wonder if the new stuff even exists sometimes!  Sorry I am not going to blow Axl like most do on this board.  He fucks up....a lot.  He can't walk on water and I refuse to sugarcoat everything that he does.  Sometimes you have to calla spade a spade or in this case a bitch a bitch.

Without risking stalking here lol, agin another good point, but I will however say one thing in deffence  of axl and the band, I think they addressed the throwing shit on stage quite a few times during this tour, and Axl , tommy clearly stated they would walk. So in a way I think they axl , decided ya know what, these people dont think Im serious , fuck this! They got thier money worth, and fullfulled thier ewnd, and not unlike detroit, in 02 and  said enough .

NOw that is only speculatoion on my part, but but somehow I dont thinik Im far off there.

These guys don't deserve to have shit hurled at them on stage.  They come to the show to play their best and don't deserve to get tagged with debris.  Fuck the fake ass fans who throw stuff at them, the dickheads throwing trash and coins on stage at anyone in the band should have their asses kicked

is Axl the first guy to ever have something thrown at him on stage? I don't think so. He does seem to be the only guy who constantly bitches about it though. Hell In U2's Slane dvd Bono gets hit twice. Once with a roll of toilet paper and once with water. he shrugs both of those off and continues on. In the Boston Elevation dvd Bono ducks out of the way of a solid object thrown hard at him on stage and responds with a  peace sign.  That's how it's done. Greenday had mud thrown at them, Kid Rock requested fans thrown water bottles at him :hihi: It's not the first or last time some jerkoff will throw something at the stage. Axl needs to get over it but he's a whiner just admit it people. It's not like they threw an 8 ball or a baseball at him. I love the music but like gilld1 said let's just call a  spade a spade.

I will admit though that jazjme made a good point. The issue of throwing stuff at the stage has been addressed    on this tour but Axl and the band need to come up witha  better solution than simply walking off and punishing the fans who      want nothing to do with that behaviour.

There's a large difference between being hit by TP and water and getting hit in the face by a coin from long range.  No damage will be done by TP or water.  If you're hit square in the eye by a coin from 20-40 yards it could permanently fuck you up

So true jazjme. To me it's like Axl is the antagonist and its almosta s if he's baiting the fans. I think Gn'R fans react to Axl more so than the actual circumstances.  A Motley Crue show could be cancelled last minute and the fans would wonder why and chances are nothing much would come of it. Guns N' Roses cancells a show and the fasn even the most loyal fans are instantly pissed and their anger is directed at Axl. There is no direct outlet so that's why fans erupt.  I alos thik fans erupt becasue deep down I think most fans know Axl doesn't really give two shits about the fans(my opinion here people; no I don't know for sure) and that boils over. Fans who care so much are enraged when what they care for dos't return the favour. The internet is an oulte for fasn and in my opinion alot(probably most) of the fans who rant and vent and express themselves in a  negative way do so out of frustration and even love for the band.  It's hard to watch so much talent go to waste and become a joke  and be made mockery of. If Axl's gonna rock it's time to fucking do it. Kareokee tour time is over. Shit the last ten years of Guns N' Roses reminds me of the first ten years of Andre Agassi's career. :hihi:

Very true, I'm not disagreeing with that but if Axl's hit with toilet paper or water do you think he's shrugging it off or do you think he's throwing a tantrum? Plus I mentioned the Boston dvd where a hard solid object flys past Bono as he ducks outta the way. he flashes a peace sign at the crowd. Does Axl do that if it misses or does he stop mid song and throw a tantrum? You see where I'm going with this?

Just so we're clear here I'm not pushing the pro Bono thing, It's just a  refrence point cause I have those dvd's. :peace:

How should I know?  I didn't see the show and neither have 95% of the people commenting on it.  All I know is if you get hit in the eye with a quarter or similar coin from 20-40 yards it could blind you in that eye.  If Axl got tagged in the head or face by a heavy coin I don't blame him for walking off the stage.  That isn't cool.  If he was tagged in the face by a coin or battery and went blind would that excuse him for walking off stage?  It could've been 2-3 inches from that, you get tagged in the face with a metal object from a distance you could really get messed up

Yeah, and a bottle of water can do serious damage if it gets shot out of a launcher. If you dont know where he got hit and how hard dont make judgements like that.

Sure.  If the person is anywhere but the first 3 rows, launching a coin at Axl could cause damage.  I doubt the person was 3 rows back and "lobbed" the coin.  It was mostly likely some dick from 10+ rows who hucked it at high speed

Its not about "hating", its about discussing pros and cons.

Do you support a football team? Don't you ever discuss what you like and dont like about the team, players, tactics etc? Thats what fans do all over the world, they take the time and energy to discuss matters about something they care about.

Not liking or agreeing with something or other doesn't make you less of a fan.

And spouting blinkered sanctimonious statements doesnt make you any more of a fan.

At least the old band got to play their songs live together. We won't ever get to hear all of the new band play their songs live if they don't fire Ron and get Bucket back.

hell no, buckethead was the biggest joke ever to be in gnr. i hate him, and i hated gnr with him.

things have gotten WAY better since that walking asshole was fired.

While I believe that every Gn'R fan has a place here, I also believe that if they don't support the new band and/or Axl, they should not post in any thread which does. It just leads to arguments and negative karma. Obviously if the non-supporter bashes the new band and Axl in his or her thread, the people who heavily object to what he or she said are going to react badly. They're going to be annoyed and they're going to tell that person off, and if they are so incensed by what that person said, they might not be able to stop themselves using some choice words in their objection... causing them to get negative karma for "attacking" the hater.

It basically all comes down to some people not obeying the "If you don't like it, ignore it!" thing.

Its the same on Blabbermouth... in all the stories about Axl, you get people who say they don't care about Axl posting negative comments in a story about him and calling all the people who stick up for Axl "gay fags". ::)

I'm grateful we don't have people like that on here! BUT I'm rather sick of people bitching about the new band... I mean really, can't they just leave that poor horse's corpse alone!? It ain't gunna move ya know!
