What a crap world cup. Its such a dissapointment - so many legends coming to an end in a whimper, no real emerging talents who look like taking on any mantles.

Only a handfull of games were worldclass, cant even think of any at the minute actually.

Unbelievable stuff. ?Zidane's going to go down in history for the right and wrong reasons, I can't believe what he did.

I think Italy deserved it, great defensive display. ?They had control of France, just about. ?Cannavaro was truly outstanding, now that's a defender.

The first World Cup I saw was 1994 and I was sad for Italy losing on penalties as I liked them and loved Robberto Baggio. ?This makes up for all that!

soccer is an awful sport.

i hope franz beckenbaur brings that summit he's been talking about because soccer needs a change.

the diving, feining injury, dirty playing has gone on for just far too long.

oh and italy played very well in the 1st half. but france outplayed them from the second half onwards. its a shame zidane went out that way. also a shame the cup was decided on penalties.
