I'm also for Arizona, but I really don't expect them to win.

This could be like NE over STL, when no one expected it, or just a complete beatdown by Pittsburgh.  But I do trust Kurt Warner to play a good game, and that might be ARZ's salvation.

The Steelers D will bend but not break.  Warner will get his usual massive yards...but the Steelers will stiffen up in the red zone.  Rackers will benefit with 3 field goals.  Steelers 34-23.

I really think one of these quarterbacks could get hurt.

I'm on record as rooting for the Steelers.  I love Hines Ward and I respect my ex-Viking Coach Tomlin.  Does it hurt that President Obama will be pulling for the Steelers?  Absolutely not!   beer

Now remember Garry, Axl4Prez2004 or as you like to call him "Nostradamus," said that McNabb and the Eagles would put a beat down on the Cardinals a couple of weeks ago in the NFC Championship game.  hihi

You guys misspelled my name...it's not Nostradamus...it's Nostradumb-ass.   hihi

I'm thinking it'll be a good game...27-23 down the stretch with Pittsburgh getting a late score to make it 34-23 and look a little bit more uneven than it really was.

MVP=Willie Parker...he'll score twice and rush for over 100 yards.  (Arizona's run D is thinking they are better than they really are...they shut down a semi-hobbled Brian Westbrook...big whoop.  Fast Willie's gonna learn 'em reeeeal good!  Wink)

I hope the Cards win. I really like Curt Warner and  what  he has done with his career. I don't dislike the Steelers, but the chances of the Steelers having another shot is higher than the Cards being back again, so I hope they take advantage of their opportunity.

if the Cards are to win it will be shootout--if Pitt defense can shut the Cards down then the Cards can't win a low scoring defensive game.

So my prediction is Cards: 35-17.

Defense wins championships and no ones is close to Pittsburgh's.

they will bump Fitzgerald and have Polamalu shadow him.

Pitt's "D" will be the key to the game, they played a bunch of playoff teams on their regular season schedule and still ended up with the #1 rated defense statistically. I believe that they will be able to keep the Cardinals offense contained, as they will shut down the run game and then be able to not have to worry about bringing that eighth or ninth man in the box. Plus they are able to get good pressure all the time without using blitzes that often, which I believe they will do against that overrated Cards offensive line.

Prediction: Steelers win a close one, 24-17.

MVP: Ben Roethlisburger(sp?), I believe unlike his other super bowl appearance he will shine in this one, I'm looking for his TE Heath Miller and Hines Ward being huge on third downs.

honestly? I think this will be like the Superbowls in the 80's and early 90's where everyone was a huge blow out.

I can't see Arizona doing much against this Pitt defense.

they can get pressure on Warner without blitzing, Edge won't be able to run on this D and Arizona's D are gonna be who we thought they were all season

Id love to see arizona win, but there is no possible way I could ever put money on that. Not even with 7pts.

D, I like your assessment.  I'm not a gambler, but damn Pitt -6 1/2 is tempting.   nervous

I honestly will be shocked if this isn't a blowout

Arizona are still the 8-8 team that got beat by 40 at NE, they are still the team that gave up 6td passes to bret favre.

I don't want to take away their accomplishments, but the NFC is weak, especially with the Giants missing Plaxico

Carolina i thought were overrated all season cause Jake Delhomme sucks and they don't really have the Secondary to contend with a high octane passing attack.

Philly were a team in turmoil and without a healthy brian westbrook and really Philly's O is pretty shitty and I do have to give McNabb credit after all, he really doesn't have a lot to work with.

I think Arizona are a nice finesse type team, but Pittsburgh are just so hard hitting and so fast and tough... Arizona won large in part to the other team's mistakes.

Pittsburgh don't make a lot of mistakes.

This superbowl makes me think of Tampa vs Oakland some years ago.
