If you think things like this make a band any better then you are one sad bastard.

Is your remark directed at me? I don't think anything of that kind, it's just a game. If GN'R lose against Pearl Jam, it won't exactly keep me awake at night.

No course not but I am sick of these types of things like "Top 100 Rock Acts" and bullshit like that, who the fuck do they think they are to tell us what's good and what isn't?!

Maybe i'm being too angry over these things.

The only real one I had trouble with in the second round was Nirvana vs. The Byrds.  Nirvana had a lot of crappy songs, but they also had a lot of great ones.  The Byrds have some amazing songs, but I've only got a greatest hits from them.  Because of the great acoustic songs I'd heard on the new box set, I ultimately ended up voting for Nirvana.

And I hate those Top 100 Best Acts Ever lists too, but this one is cool because it's voted on by the people rather than a bunch of snobby music critics or industry insiders.  It's a fun little game.

To tell the truth I thought that Pearl Jam would get more votes than GN'R. I hope they can beat Eagles, too, cause my parents don't use the Internet that much  hihi

Oh well, different strokes for different folks I guess. I know I would pick Metallica over the Dead any day of the week. Up until the black album at least.

That's it, GN'R have been wiped out by the Eagles. No real surprise here.

Nirvana are gone too.

I can't believe Lynyrd skynyrd beat Bruce  Shocked

If you take a look at the bands who've made the quarter finals, none of them are current ( or even close to be). The "youngest" band in there probably has been around since the late 70's.

Maybe because it's a Jacksonville website and most members of the band are/were from that city  Grin  But yeah, I was surprised too.
