Does anyone know the story behind the girl that walks from the back when Dave is in the audience and hands the people their promotional prizes after they are asked a question?

It just baffles me how she's always on there and is wearing like a dress and then some out of place jacket.  I also saw her one time and she was just grumpy and moping around and I couldn't understand the reason why she is there.

She works on the show... not sure what her job is.  I love that show but that whole routine they go though I find pretty dumb.
