This is a subject thats quite close to me at the moment... ive started eating more heathily, almost no meat, mostly vegetables, seafood and water...ill tell you that there is so much crap they put in food right now, from preservatives, pesticides and even dirty air used to preserve food for longer , chickens have far more fat in them now than they did before, about 20% of a chicken is fat compared to a decade ago when it was about 8%...the upshot is the companies are putting out food that contains chemicals that you would never put past your mouth otherwise...even water is contaminated because of all the crap people buy and show it down the drain, from washing up liquid to deodarants, polish and bleach etc...also in the water are a disturbing amount of feminising chemicals introduced into products to make them more appealing to the senses...

here is a recent article only a few days old...this is what you are putting into the human system
http://www.greenpeace.org/international/news/poisoning-the-unborn111

the more ive read and learned from others over the last 4 or 5 months about this, the more i want to stop using most of these products...

vegetables are the best food you can put into your system...there is no doubt in that...but there are many adverts that would make you believe otherwise...you are being brainwashed if you think otherwise...when you eat meat, do you realise what is in the meat itself?...do you know anything about the animal you are eating?...what viruses were/are in its blood system?...what has the animal been eating? ie chickens made to eat bonemeal from other animals...its just putrifying to think about it...
How do you feel now after the change?? Just curious?? Energy, weight etc.

ive lost a stone in weight, my skin is less oily, no more indigestion, definitely less tired especially in the morning, better concentration...and thats after only 2 months...id recommend it, you dont have to eat meat, the stomach finds it harder to break it down, the stomach needs more acid to break red meat down so it has to create that acid from whats inside you, ive heard it takes it away from the bones...i was sceptical as anyone and i hate bullshit but since i feel better i dont think ill go back to the way i ate before...
Well, congrats.  After this weekend, considering I have a stock of Filets in the frig, I think I am going to try something similar.

It's interesting how Kevin Trudeau avoids making any direct claims in his infomercial, he always says, "in my opinion" before he makes a bullshit claim.  It is a way of protecting himself from any action from the FTC.

He's just preying on desperate people.

A friend of mine doesn't eat meat and she has a beatiful skin (if you know what I mean  hihi) anyway she tells me that she used to eat a lot of red meat and colesterol but also going to the gym, she just got tunnified but the skin kept being oily so she changed her diet that and since then she got her skin softy and better.  ok

Your friend must have previously eaten cheap hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, and deli meats. Meat is healthy if it's good meat, like the kind off a fresh deer carcass or fish like yellowtail or salmon.  drool Most meat bashers compare fresh vegetables to factory farmed processed meat, which is a straw man argument and invalid. The reality is, humans are omnivores and should eat some meat.

Eating cholesterol does not affect the body's cholesterol. Eating unhealthy fats (trans, too many omega 6, etc) from an unbalanced diet and not exercising makes cholesterol go up. Of course, genetics can matter too, so at the very least have no children if you have high cholesterol, to improve the gene pool.

As for this telemarketer, he's a waste of time. There is no great conspiracy in Western medicine to make people unhealthy. If anything, people urging others to stop eating meat are more harmful! It's very hard being a vegetarian and getting a balanced diet; the effort just isn't worth it.

just because humans can eat meat doesnt mean they have to..humans can also eat paper, plastic etc but it doesnt make it smart does it...but who is to deny the healthy aspects of devouring a piece of chocolate covered polystyrene...

and there is no denying fish is good for you...i cant remember anyone saying to me that fish is unhealthy...of course the difference betwen red meat and fish meat is that red meat is denser and harder for the body to break down...

its more than likely most people dont have a balanced diet anyway so being a vegetarian would be a healthy improvement

Yeah, vegtables are healthy.....you know how much pesticide and shit is on those veggies? Tons.

Vegans and veggitarins need to get used to the idea the world is little more than revolving buffet. Everytime something is eaten on this planet, something else dies.

yea i agree, there are plenty of pesticides and preservatives in vegetables but you can get organic vegetables in this country which are free of those chemicals...of course the food doesnt last as long but at least its fresh...

im not sure why youre complaining about vegetarians...if you are replying to my comments then you have me wrong as im not a vegetarian...

Being a veggie lowers your cholesterol, and you can get protein from other sources besides meat.

You can get protein outside meat; however, such protein does not have all of the essential amino acids that are present in animal meat.

Well yeah I guess I should've sum up saying she ate a lot of trash food. But I think that red meat its kinda unhealthy, not like its going to kill you, but you can sense the difference if you quit eating red meat.

He claims that the food we eat in the U.S. only, has stuff in it that makes it addictive, that makes us (spefically) fat. He also says that no drug has and can ever cure a disease.
Whatever colesterol you consume wether is in USA or any part in the world is gonna make you fat. I personally don't trust in these people I trust only in vegetables? ok
Also a lot of plant are good as medice for instance plants like (savila don't know the name in english Sad)

Savila, I think, is called Aloe Vera in English.

The modern wonder plant. Smiley

When you go shopping they say it's best to shop on the OUTSIDE ailes. That is where all the natural food and fruits are. All the refined sugar, man made, crap is in the middle sections. It's about 90% true, lol, pay attention next time, it's pretty funny.

 Grin

It's really funny, actually.  I wrote a paper in College on the "Psychology of the Modern Grocery Store".  Everything is placed for a reason...

Just remember to replace the protein you're losing by cutting out the meat with something else.  Soy is a good substitute (tofu, etc), especially.

Lots of good vegetarian cookbooks out there to help you in the right direction.

Not that I can read the above, but it seems to insinuate they're the same thing...but I could be wrong too. Smiley

Could just be from the same family of plants, too.

You can get protein outside meat; however, such protein does not have all of the essential amino acids that are present in animal meat.

You can replace the amino's "artificially", through additives.  We do it a lot here (at work) through nutritional therapy on post-op patients.

It is important, if cutting out red meat (or meat in general) to take all this stuff into account.

Fish is good for that, especially Salmon. Or suppliments. I guess it depends on what kind of vegetarian you classify yourself as.

There was a story I saw about a year ago about this small village in the mountains of Japan. Their primary diet consisted of root veggies, veggies and no meat. Everbyoby in the village lived well into their 90's. Many worked, farming, until the day they died. With the introduction of fried foods, and meat, many of the villages elders began to watch their middle age children die before them.

Pretty interesting story.

Im a vegetarian. But i do like junk food like snickers, pretzels, chips stuff like that. Most days i have about 8-10 servings of vegetables. usually steamed mixed vegetables and cut up potatoes with skins attached. I eat different nuts and some fish and rice for protien.

I never eat any red meat or dairy. Sometimes on Holidays i eat Turkey.

I don't know how I could live without meat?

Back onto subject, I really can't stand the way that vegitarians think that they are better than the rest of us just cause the're lifestyle is supposedly better than ours. Red meat rocks, go get some!

Its just the way red meat and especially dairy feels in my stomache. I could eat a filet minion if it had no fat, but even thats a rare commodity these days. Once for Christmas my family purchased like 10 filet minon steaks and they were marbled with fat. it was nasty. And that is supposed to be the choice cut!
