OK, me and a friend were talking about t-shirts, and he said that a long time ago he used to have a really awesome UYI shirt... it was tie dyed, blue on the back, and yellow on the front. He got it from a shop that was kinda reggae-ish... it was called Zulu.
He said he'd never ever ever seen another one, and he really wants another one because it sadly got ruined... and I want one too!

SO, if anyone here ever sees a tie-dyed Use Your Illusion tee which is all over yellow on the front and all over blue on the back.... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS PLEASAND IN THIS WORLD PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

are you talkin about the shirt with the illusion covers in blue and yellow?

it`s awesome.... i saw a guy in nijmegen on 7-2-2006 wear it and actually asked him were he got it from... there were probably 40 different rare gnr shirts in the crowd, but that one just looked too cool...


too bad he bought it 14 years ago anyways  Undecided

i think there`s even a pic of axl wearing this one.... drool

I had that shirt back in 9th grade. ?The front was UYI 1 and it bled into the blue UYI 2 on the back. ?

I too had that shirt, back in the day (1995, 96, something like that).  I remember an alternative/punk rock kid making fun of my choice of music when I wore the shirt one day.  I heard he was covering GNR songs with his band a few months later...

Anyhow, if I still had the shirt, I would gladly send it to you.

WARose, is this the photograph you're refering to? If so, Axl's t-shirt doesn't appear to have the blue back.

Although on a second look I can see some blue on his back, but it might be shadow.

Whoever said that shirt is kind of ugly must be blind.  I tried bidding on one like that a few years back on EBay, and it got too high for me.  It's my favorite GNR shirt just behind my Hammerstein 2006 shirt.  The colors are fucking awesome!  As my other posts will attest to, the UYI album covers are my favorite GNR album covers.  Bandita, you rock.  Congrats SkynyrdGirl.   beer

I know!!! That shirt is AWESOME! How the hell could anyone NOT like that shirt!!? Do they have some kinda reverse beer goggles that make really beautiful things ugly? They must do!
