I think the new recording is awesome....Taylors vocals are a bit over done...But man Paul sounds amazing...Looking forward to some more new stuff, I seen them back in 2006 when they came to Toronto and they were awesome

Wooa it sounds good, OK it's not Freddy singing but it's great to hear something new, and Taylor doesn't sound overdone it sounds as equal as modern times rock n' roll or fight from the inside i could say  Wink

I dig it, I think it's great they're creating new material while keeping the vintage sound.

That guitar sound is similar to that of the tone of Catcher In The Rye. Mmmm..... Hehe.

They've vastly improved the song, for those who haven't heard the 'original' it was played live in 2005, and i think in 2006 just with Roger Taylor and it wa all acoustic. For me the low point of the gig.

But with some quality guitar and Paul Rodgers voice brought in to rock it up, its actually pretty good.

Not sure they should be keeping the name 'Queen' though. Queen + Paul Rodgers was ok, but you just can't replace Freddie.

If it was re-arenged and recorded as fast as they say they did a hell of a job !! I'm so happy when I get to hear fresh sounds from Brian May and Roger Taylor.

This is in my humble opinion a very good song, and I really appreciate that Paul Rodgers isn't trying to mimic Freddie Mercury but instead has always done it his own way.

I hope they will, in the future, release something and tour behind it.

I like hearing Brian May rocking out again but really ... c'mon. The song's not that bad, but "not the bad" isn't the standard for Queen material. Without Freddie and John Deacon, this just isn't Queen. Paul Rodgers is a fantastic vocalist, but Freddie is the greatest male rock vocalist in history. Fact, not opinion. I wish May and Roger Taylor would have continued on as a different project.

Well yeah perhaps it is difficult to accept it as Queen, cause it is not Freddy or John in the project one of course cause is dead and the other one cause he has retired, but does that means that it is not Queen really, I mean Brian and Roger always wanted to keep Queen family together.
Is not like Axl really wanted to keep GNR with other guys and stuff it just happened

But Slash quitting isn't the same as Freddie, the world's greatest frontman, getting HIV/AIDS and dying. The continuation of "Queen" is sort of disrespectful no matter which way you cut it.

Yeah but slash quiting might be like John quiting, at the end who knows if Freddy would still alive and Queen separated, who knows

QUEEN guitarist Brian May spoke to the press after the premiere of "We Will Rock You" in Vienna on January 24, 2008. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:

Q: There are rumors that you will be going on tour late this year.

May: "We are planning to. We're planning to tour in the autumn."

Q: What are your plans for the future?

May: "Ah well, we're finishing an album at the moment with Paul Rodgers. We plan to tour later in the year and that's about as far as I can see at the moment. I keep busy. I do lots of other things too. I've become a Chancellor of a University. I don't know if you know that, and a Doctor, and I don't sleep. (laughs)"

Q: Any other musical plans?

May: "We are working ? I guess the big news which I didn't tell anyone else, it that we're now working very hard on the sequel. Ben has now finished the first draft of his script called 'We Will Rock You 2' and so will be the continuing adventures of Scaramouche and Galileo and that's a great challenge, you know. To achieve this once is incredible and we feel lucky, but if we could do it twice, then, you know, and with some new surprises, good fun."

With a new album in the pipeline ? the first new studio album to carry the QUEEN name since the Freddie Mercury sessions ? QUEEN is heading back on the road for a four-month tour, once again in the company of musician/singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers who joined the band for the highly successful 2005/2006 world tour, the European leg of which ended with the band's spectacular London Hyde Park open air concert before going on to play the U.S. and Japan.

In all, the band's tour was attended by more than a million people.

Together Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers have recorded their first album's worth of material, jointly written and produced. With the title yet to be disclosed, the album is being readied for release September 1, two weeks ahead of the start of the tour.

The QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS 28-date arena tour will take in 14 countries in just seven weeks, and take the band to Northern Eurasia, Central and Southern Europe, and the UK, and is expected to wind up at the end of the year with the band's highly anticipated return to South America, the setting of some of its most historic tours in the early '80s.

QUEEN's historic Latin America dates set new world records for the numbers of the audiences it attracted. At the 1985 Rock in Rio concert the band played to an unheard of audience of 300,000 and was watched on television by nearly 200 million people throughout the South American continent.

The 2008 tour kicks off mid-September in Russia with two dates at Moscow's SCO Olympic Arena, moves on into Poland for a massive free concert at the historic Gdansk Shipyard, and then follows a path through Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands before arriving in the UK early October for 6 dates including London's 02 Arena on October 13.

The UK dates see the band additionally play Nottingham, Glasgow, Cardiff and Birmingham with a final UK date at Liverpool Arena on October 18 before continuing on to Spain, Hungary, Serbia, Czech Republic and Austria for seven further dates.

Tracks on the new QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS album will include "Say It's Not True" (see video below), previously released at the end of last year by QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS as a special World Aids Day download for Nelson Mandela's 46664 HIV AIDS charity , plus a "first" for a QUEEN album ? a cover version. The remaining tracks are all newly written by May, Taylor and Rodgers during the late 2007/early 2008 recording sessions.

One of these tracks, "C-lebrity", will receive a sneak preview when the band make a by-demand return to the UK's ITV "Al Murray's Happy Hour" for the final show on April 4.

Tickets for all UK dates will go on sale at venue box offices and usual ticket agents from Saturday April 5.

UK ticket prices: ?49.40, ?39.50 (check venues).
