I just called the station and talked to Tommy. First I asked if he would be willing to ask any GNR questions and he said no.  Then I said begged and said that all us GNR fans were starving for info. So he said ok.  But  I only asked one question, I didnt wanna be greedy.

I asked if anyone was gonna replace Buckethead.  And someone, mind you there were two guys in the room, said no.  Someone said Fuck that guy, Robin and Richard smoke Buckethead's balls,.  Then Im pretty sure Tommy said were gonna bring the rock to you.  So to confirm I said So Robin and Richard are in and no replacement Buckethead and someone said nope.

Then I asked for tickets to the SA show tomorrow and they hooked me up.

It was a bit of a blur and went pretty quickly but  I think that Tommy did most of the talking.

well then there it is, apparently there was some 'no gnr' agreement about this interview Tongue

thanks for getting what you could  ok

BH did more on the songs we heard during his 4 years than Tommy did in 9. So Tommy can put that in his pipe and smoke it.

You know, god-forbid Stinson throw out the smallest bone, scrap, morsel, tidbit of info regarding GnRs upcoming plans, god-forbid. It just goes to show you the level of contempt the entire GnR organization, top to bottom, has for their fans.
And some  lemmings lap it up, or try to rationalize or excuse it somehow.

everyone is always like this is a band gnr is his main project yada yada yada yet with a tour starting next month, no new music out, no where abouts on an album, no official lineup you want to say oh it would have been wrong for him to talk newguns being he's with soul assylum...Listen to you people you make up so many excuses, he's talking like a true uninterested hired hand that goes wherever...
this guy can love playing a favor for SA and still give you up to date info on what's happening with axl n comp..

But go ahead tell me I'm wrong that he couldn't give one speck of information about anything, yeah we know 6 weeks before the first major tour in years he's gagging ok He could have been representing ten bands and still said something about the one he is supposed to be in with 100%..

ANother typical useless tommy stinson interview who shows not much interest in gnr in that perticular interview..

This is someone that is supposed to be gearing up for  abig exciting tour, hearing his material he has waited ages to hear, yet it's like pfft whatever..

I totally agree.   I'm a little suprised, at a minimum, he didn't address the issue upfront.  Something like "we've got exciting times in the months ahead with Gn'R including a kick ass European tour but tonight we are focussing on SA what kick ass stuff we doing, etc.."

It would have taken 20 seconds.   It would have Kept the GN'R folks happy (mostly) and still put the focus on SA (if that is what he wanted).    I always thought Tommy was the stabilizing new factor of GN"R with everyother part coming and going since '97.   I hope I'm just mis-interpreting the general's comments here.

BTW, the buckethead balls part was pretty funny.
