Now that Axl and Scott Ian are cool with each other, Anthrax would be a great opening band.

I'd like to see Dope get a 30-35 minute opening slot, followed by Buckcherry playing for 45-50 minutes, then Marilyn Manson for an hour, followed by GnR doing their full set. That's a fuckin' rock show there!

Nah.

I think Buckcherry would be an obvious choice, and Black Stone Cherry would be cool, too.

Didn't New York Dolls just release an album?  That would be a good one!

This would be a kickass show!!!
I love the Killers but hard to tell how well they'd go over with the GNR crowd, at least in the US
Unfortunately I can't imagine Reznor agreeing to open for anyone at this point but who knows

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

Sevendust.  They are my second favorite band and they just so happen to be releasing an album on March 6th as well.

On his last NA tour Dylan had the Raconteurs and the Foo Fighters (playing acoustically) open for him.

well the problem with that is that Axl pretty much never likes to come on that early!!

Snoop Dizzle or The Roots.  That would be different.

They did, twice, in 1991.

But you're right...they would never open up now-a-days.

yea, i read that on his site.  unfortunately i didn't get to see that tour.  I've seen dylan 7 times, and i can't remember there ever being an opening act (although once with phil lesh and widespread panic, and once with paul simon).  maybe he had an opening act when i saw him in 2002, can't remember.

Bungle would be great - problem is:

1. They are no longer a band
2. Musically they don't fit at all
3. Bungle is not an arena band
4. I know I'll get flack for this but IMO Mr. Bungle is a far superior band in terms of musical talent - not the kind of band you want to open for you
