Well if GNR is really doing this Japanese tour thing and going on some tour, I think that pretty much settles it that Bach isnt going to be opening.  I dont think Bach would planning on going there in June if he was planning on playing there a month and a half earlier.

That is the same thing I was thinking when I posted the tour info.  He would be playing the same cities a month later.  Maybe he would just skip the Japanese GNR shows?

Beautiful Creatures would be among my top choices, too, but they're on hiatus, according to their myspace, doing other projects...presumably this would also reduce the likelihood of Bang Tango.

The purpose of an opening band is not to draw a larger audience.  That isnt an opener.  An opening band is supposed to be a bonus, something other than house music to entertain the audience before the main act comes on stage.  The opener is not supposed to draw fans.  An opening act should play for 30-40 minutes, GNR tickets are going to sell for 90$ or so (guessing from last tour).  No one is going to want to pay 90$ for a 30 minute set.  All of you are thinking of these co-headliner shows, have you ever been to a co-headliner show? Theyre awful.  Usually each bands set is shorter, theres an immense amount of waiting around, food and drinks cost 3x as much, tickets cost over twice as much.  Just go see both bands doing their own concerts.  Its much easier.  Any Co-headliner means you will have some guns fans who dont want to pay extra, and youll have to compete with the fans of whatever band gnr Co-headlined with.  If you like two bands go see two concerts, its not that hard.
