Back in the day (1992-93), for me the first part of the show (usually disc 1) was  so much better than disc 2. Disc 1 rocked, while disc 2  was slow,  solos and filler. Today, during the 2006 shows, I like the second  part of the show, (disc 2) with new  songs-blues, maddy, IRS, Chinese  Democracy, sometimes better, and a killer Nightrain to end. That is my opinion.

Which part of the show  do you prefer?

Well I like a show as a whole show, not two parts. But you're right, when you watch old bootlegs the second disc is usually slower. I like the fact that Nightrain is nowadays played at the later part of the show. But during Skin n' Bones -tour they had an awesome row like this: November Rain > Dead Horse > Drum Solo > You Could Be Mine > Guitar Solo > SCOM > Estranged.. And believe me, I love the drum solo before YCBM.

I guess I was not clear? the first time, this thread? is really intended to address? the CD/DVD crowd, not the live shows. When you have to choose which CD or which DVD to watch, which is it?
