Id take off Aint It Fun,Since I Dont Have You and Sympathy For The Devil and add It's So Easy,Nigthrain,Mr.Brownstone and Estranged,,,How about you guys

Take off: Since, Live and let die, KOHD, Yesterdays

Add: Double Talkin' Jive, Mr. Brownstone, KOHD early concert version, Coma.

I'd like to see also Estranged, Nightrain, It's So Easy, One In A Million, Dust N' Bones, The Garden, Garden of Eden, Pretty Tied Up and unreleased track(s) on it, but that would be over 100 minutes playing time.

Take off: Ain't It Fun, Since I Don't Have You, Sympathy For The Devil & Live And Let Die

Add: Oh My God, Rocket Queen, Estranged & Coma

Take off - Since, Sympathy

Add - Mr. Brownstone, Nightrain, Rocket Queen

Remove: All covers.

Add: It's so easy, Nightrain, Estranged and Crash Diet.

I wouldn't take off anything.  GN'R had a class that made the covers their own, i'm sure there would be response if they weren't on there.

And surely the importance of Sympathy, is that it's the last Axl/Slash release we have...ok maybe the record company didn't put that much thought into it  lol but thats how i see it.

The covers were all in or near the top 10 here in the UK, so they were successful.

The additions i would have made would be to add Estranged, sadly it looks like the record company really don't recognise it's value among fans.  

I would have added a b-sides bonus disc so you could have Shadow of your love, Heavens door live  ect  

And i would have held back the release of Welcome to the vids and released a GH dvd/cd combo  like the Chili peppers did last year.

The thing you have to realize is that a greatest hits album isn't aimed at the die hard fan who can listen to every album front to back and make a case for why every song should be on a GH's. It's for the casual fan who wants to hear the songs they hear on the radio. As mind blowing as Estranged is, and as important as it is to us, the general public doesn't exactly view it as a classic

Take a poll of different bands fans.... ie. Bon Jovi and Aerosmith and they will make the same complaints that the "good" songs are left off

well, I'd want to see one in a million on that album..it's classic track. it would definetely wake up some conversation.

I find it absolutely fucking incredible that out of all the lame-ass "What would you put on a GN'R Greatest Hits CD?" threads.... NO ONE pegged the tracklist for the one that actually gets released.

But then again.... lots of people think GN'R deserve a two-disc greatest hits despite the fact that they have only 3 full length albums. So.. meh...

I think the Greatest Hits should have a second disc with something interesting on it.....

They could've even added the Welcome To The Videos DVD as a bonus, other bands have done it...

Bonus CDs are perfectly fine (in fact, I think this release should have one too).

I would stick with tracklist as appears on Welcome to the Video's.

Its not all their best stuff, and i can think of a better tracklist - but all the same those are the songs people are familiar with - i always though that was the point of a GH........Sympathy for the devil a 'hit'? Most people even on this board haven't heard it!!!!

If that?s a compilation to get money out of people and give it to the damned record company, they should take off Civil War & Ain?t it Fun and add Estranged & Mr.Brownstone.
This way, it would have the most popular songs from each album, plus a bonus (SFTD). People would buy it , like it, and new fans would buy all the band catalogue, spending lots of money.

If that was suposed to be something honest, they should release Chinese Democracy and two or three more albuns, then a Greatest Hits 2 set CD.

I'd make those exact changes you said.
Other people are suggesting good songs, but this is a "greatest hits" album, not a "obscure fan favourites" album.

have all those songs been released as singles? they have haven't they? i think that's all theyve done... greatest hits is simply a collection of singles yeh? so, if its greatest hits then theyve got it right. but i think it shouldve been a 'best of' - then u could add songs that weren't gnr's biggest singles but are gnr's best like easy, nightrain, brownstone, estranged. outta interest, which of these were singles?

I'd remove all of the fucking songs and then wait until it's more appropriate to be releasing a GH in the first fucking place!!!

I'd make one change and one change only, I'd take out Ain't it Fun and put on Rocket Queen, I like that song a lot.

Here's what I would put out for a greatest hits CD if I was running the project.  Keep in mind that all of these are not necessarily my favorite GNR tracks, but are the songs that would give the CD its best chance for commercial success, and give the fans a true representation of what GNR's "Greatest Hits" really are.

This probably wouldn't fit onto one cd, but these are the singles that were released off all the albums and 90% of them were hits, at least in Australia they were.

A good mix for someone who wants a good GN'R collection but doesn't want to fork out for all the albums.

i don't think one in a million is even being printed on GNR Lies anymore, so that would have been a real real long shot.

i'd take off Since and Aint It Fun, add Mr Brownstone and Estranged (rocket queen or nigtrain could go on too... whatever, most people would probably prefer a copy of AFD anyway.)

i onestly whould not take anything off! the only thing i would do diff of course is add somethng that has not been relased b4 or even just have OMG on thier just so we acually have OMG on a acual GNR cd
