Title: Izzy Stradlin jams with vr in Barcelona - Sep. 10, 2004
Post by: Dont Try Me on September 10, 2004, 05:56:44 AM
Yet another GUNS N' ROSES semi-reunion of sorts took place Thursday (Sept. 9) in Barcelona, Spain when guitarist Izzy Stradlin joined his old bandmates in VELVET REVOLVER onstage for the GN'R classics "I Used To Love Her" and "It's So Easy". This is the third time in less than a week that Izzy jammed with his old pals, having previously gotten up onstage with them in Bologna, Italy (Sept. 5) and Paris, France (Sept. 7). Stradlin left GUNS N' ROSES in 1991 and was replaced by Gilby Clarke.

In other news, VELVET REVOLVER will headline the Freakers Ball at the Smirnoff Music Centre in Dallas, TX on October 24. Tickets go on sale Saturday September 18 through Ticketmaster and KDGE.com.

Very cool to see that Izzy leaves the house sometimes!

Now that is as GNR as your ever gonna get.  I hope Izzy enjoys himself and comes on board for the next album.

I just hope he tours for anything sometime. I have never seen him live and that would rule. I would also love to hear him record something, with the guys, not necessarily with VR though. Even if they just put out an album, Izzy could lay down fat rythmns and Slash could noodle over them like the old days. Dying to hear some shit like that.

If Izzzy is just chilling and hanging out and coming on stage for VR why not have an Izzy solo band open up for them on the next tour. If its not an arena tour why not? Dizzy likes playing clubs and the fans would love to see him up there.
