Izzy wrote the lyrics for "You Could Be Mine" about an ex-girlfriend of his.

Izzy wrote the lyrics for "You Could Be Mine" about an ex-girlfriend of his.

I find that hard to believe. I mean, Izzy wanted to add a line form an Elton John song?

I suspect Axl had something to do with the lyrics too.....

I had always thought Axl wrote those lyrics, but many people on this board have said the same thing I just said.  Apparently, Axl said onstage once that Izzy wrote the lyrics about his ex-girlfriend, though Axl may have contributed some also.

I think Axl said that on the '02 tour.
I'm pretty sure Axl had something to do with the lyrics but the chorus is very Izzy, "With your bitch slap rappin' and your cocaine tongue" is very reminiscent of "Double talkin' jive get the money motherfucker"
