Title: Tommy threads in the GN'R section
Post by: marknroses on December 13, 2004, 01:53:14 AM
Hey. I know its only music and I don't want to rain on the party but...

PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD ELSEWHERE!
I come to here to post and hear posts about GNR and GNR-related stuff. I honestly couldn't care less about what Tommy's doing if it isn;t GNR related. Put this thread with the sideprojects. VR has more right to be here than reviews of Tommy's tour.

Am I missing something here?
Oh yeah the word with three letters - G, N and R.
I would think its quite pathetic for fans of NU-GNR to be promoting the works of Tom's solo record when they can't stand the sight of Contraband being mentioned here on this thread.

Not fair to see different standards being applied to current and ex-GNR members. This is the first flaw I see in an otherwise flawfless website that I come to hear about my favorite band.

I am 85 % sure I will see Tommy at the MiddleEast in Cambridge : ok:

I'm 100% sure that this and the other 2 Tommy Stinson related threads do not belong on a board dedicated to GNFNR.

Jarmo, seriously bro what is this? Is Tommy Stinson paying you to promote his solo album with GNR fans? I know you have been in contact with the man before and u did that excellent review. Oh yeah, and maybe Tommy's only worth to me and other fans for the last 3 years is all the times he's helped keep fans on edge about an album which may never come out? Oh and maybe he's good when he's describing GNR's nu music if we can actually put headphones to his brain and "imagine" what it sounds like.
THis holiday season, I have much better things to spend my money on than anything Tommy Stinson-related thank you very much.

WTF?  ::)
If you don't like the current gnr players projects, just DON'T READ! The title is very specific about it.
Slash, Duff and Matt are not in GNR anymore. Tommy is. That's why he has more right to be here.
Stop whining and let other people enjoy this great guy in his solo work.

Thanks for making your "point" in three different threads.

The reason is actually in the decription of the GN'R section. So you've known from day one where all Tommy Stinson discussions would be.

Everything GN'R related, including discussions about present members.

Is Tommy Stinson paying you to promote his solo album with GNR fans?

You think?

I just happen to think he made a great album that more people should hear.

Oh, and he's actually still in the band so that also makes it interesting to many GN'R fans.

WTF.  Damn, I thought mark was usually pretty cool for a fan of the old school.

It?s not like Jarmo started an ADZ fan club or a Cris thread in the GN?R section. :P
