Title: my first song! Post by: visionary432 on December 18, 2004, 02:11:42 PM i started playing my guitar 2 months ago. my brother and i decided to record our first real song about a week ago. we finished it in a couple of days. i play guitar and he plays bass. everything in it is made by us, including the effects. the instruments we dont play were done on the computer. i think it grows on you with repeat viewings. its a commentary on vietnam... what do you think?

the music is pretty cool actually how did u do the madagascar like quotes at the end? u have potential no doubt i mean that song isnt gonna be very many people's cup of tea but if u dig it, go with it, if u love it and think its great then it is great dont let people discourage u from makin music and record what u love and what's inside u never chase something u arent, stay true to yourself and the music will be fine theres an audience for everything the music was psychadelic and cool the whispery vocals and all that arent my cup of tea but was still interesting Title: Re: my first song! You're probably not on this board anymore but on the slight chance you'll see this I just want to say I'm sorry for acting like a douche. I was DOASHK on this board back in high school. I was reading through my old posts for kicks, saw this thread and I'm pretty embarrassed. I would have been a sophomore at the time I posted this, which was too old to be acting like a stupid punk. I was going through an extremely rough time in my life, but that's no excuse. I still remember your song in it's entirety, and it was posted over six years ago so it must have been pretty brilliant. Honestly, I was just jealous that I'm not able to come up with such interesting, abstract musical ideas. I really hope you're still makin' music man. :beer: :peace: :smoking: |
