How does he get that squealing, dolphin, screeching sound?

With a les paul, humbuckers, overdrive, compressor and/or delay.

...and the Whammy Digitech Pedal.

I?m not really that sure, but comparing to other Whammy pedal users (Dimebag,Tom Morello) it?s pretty similar.

I'm sure Bucket have a whammy on his gear, but I dunno about Richard.
I never used this effect, so I don't have a clue about its working... but Richard wasn't stepin in anything (like he would do with a wha) when he played this riff.

I though it was the whammy cause in the riff you hear a kid of  vibrato efect (not  finger vibrato, more like a  whammy bar vibrato) and also it goes really loud and high pitched, something you can do with the Whammy pedal.

Maybe this vibrato is from the delay effect. I really doubt he used a regular whammy for this song...

i'm guessing the squeals are feedback myself.

Yeah, but you can have this feedback sound easier with some compressor or delay. Or if you put the guitar really close to the amp (wich is not the case)...

You're all wrong. It's called a Fernandes Sustainer Monterey guitar.
