I don't think there is.
GN'R didn't make a music genre explosion like Nirvana did.
Other reason is, similar voice with Axl's is something really rare to be found.

Anyone who tries to imitate Axl is lame. Do you guys remember that Tesla video in the early 90's when their lead singer was trying to do Axl's snakewalk? It was pathetic. The only band of the last 10 years to even remotely have a GNR feel to them is Elastica. I always considered Justine and co. to be a female version of AFD era GNR. Their songs 'Line Up' and 'Vaseline' sound so fuckin GNR you would think Izzy wrote the songs.

Its not about trying to imatate Axl or Guns!! Its about bands they have influenced! The Strokes are a band who say that they are influenced by Guns in a big way! I saw an interview on MTV2 the other day with System of a Down and they said the same too! I imagine a lot of bands are influenced by Guns music!

I see a lot of guitar players sounding a little like Slash did. Maybe they even don't like the band, but the Slash's Marshall sound was a huge influence for guitar players.

Tesla was around before GN'R, pally.  Mechanical Resonance, their debut album, came out in 1986.  And they were around for a little while before that.  Jeff Keith (that's his name by the way) is not pathetic.  He's an excellent vocalist and a great live performer.  If you're trying to say Tesla was influenced by GN'R you're wrong.  They were contemporaries.  And Tesla is still going strong today.  Into The Now was a great album, one of the best rock albums that's come out in years.

Rob, I'm not insulting Tesla. They were a pretty damn good band at that time. I was just commenting on that video where he copies Axl's moves.

Ok then.  Lol, Jeff should stick to his own stage moves, he's got some pretty cool ones.  Honestly though, who hasn't tried the snakewalk once or twice?

There are a lot of new bands coming out over here in England who say they've been influenced a helluva lot by Gn'R.
Towers of London
Hurricane Party (my boyfriend knows the guitarist in that band!! Woo!)
The Glitterati
The Black Velvets
etc etc...

Methinks there's going to be an explosion of this type of band, and then another band is going to come along in a couple of years who will blow them all away... and history will repeat itself, just like it always does.
Oh, and it won't be Nirvana. NOR a Nirvana-like band. If that happens... then we are all doomed to a life of emo shittance and BANDS WITH NO STYLE!!!!

Well you are wrong. I know several.

I personnally wouldn't consider myself a Nirvana fan per se, but I appreciate some of their material.

I'm a fan of both bands. but what does that have to do with the topic of this thread?

I'm sure alot of bands around today are influenced by GnR. they were HUGE in the late '80's early '90's.

Anyhoo, I still need to get the Glitterati's album, but I am SO getting it.
Oh, and another band influenced by Gn'R:
The Ga*Ga*s (I think that's how you type it!.)
