Title: Re: War of the worlds Post by: Axls Locomotive on July 17, 2005, 05:16:27 PM yea the effects were fantastic, the burning train, the destruction of the bridge etc...i thought the acting was pretty good, especially Tom Cruise...they ruined the storyline though...including children to try and get more people to see the movie stinks of desperation or crass commercialism...and the movie ended far too sharply...the 1950's movie was more in line with the book and was a better film...
