Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Ok, this band is usually regarded as NSBM (National Socialist Black Metal), but they have a strong punk sound to their music as well. It's a new band that's getting a lot of attention in the NSBM scene, and their first album, By Oak, Ash, And Thorns, has been very well received. Punk fans and black metal fans should check these guys out; they're the best BM the US has, from New York of all places, and I believe they are equal to Norway's finest.

For their best songs, I enjoy For The Fallen, Hail Genocide, One Face One Race, Pagan Existance, and Bestial Onslaught, but all of their stuff is great! I hope their next one is a good!

There, happy? I like their music and you make a personal attack on them based on their ideology without hearing a note. You should be glad to be privileged to have my recommendation. I was lucky to find an interesting underground band, and I was happy to share them with everyone here. You're probably not psychologically mature enough to appreciate esoteric sounds yet, if you ever will be.

Come on, guys, be more open minded about music. This is some great stuff here that is just begging for a listening. No one should post in the "artists who suck" thread without knowing about good music to compare them to...

<sigh> They celebrate pagan pride. Pagan War Machine was their best known release before By Oak, Ash, And Thorns. They don't like Jews or Christians. They're not even Nordicists; they believe in a universal "white" race. They're very tame by national socialist standards, and are likely using it as a shock effect, since vanilla black metal has become mainstream due to Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth. Hell, they're from NY City!  :P

You need to address your musical maturity if you can't enjoy a band just because of lyrics. They're mostly screamed or grunted anyway. They're designed to keep out closed minded trend jumpers and bring in people who truly appreciate their fine music.

Why won't you just listen to the album before you pass judgement on it?  :rant: If you like Slayer, Megadeth, or any heavy metal at all, you should enjoy it. Black metal isn't for weaklings.

Race is hard to define, even to Grom. Anthropologists believe there are 3 major races of Europe (Nordic, Alpine, and Mediterranean) and dozens of subraces. Most Europeans are of mixed subrace, but the differences between the major races are still seen, despite some mixing. Grom doesn't believe in this; they believe in a single "white" race, which I disagree with. But that's what inspires them, and it's working, so...  : ok:

Some extremists claim that small clans could be considered separate races (subraces maybe, but certainly not races!). The other extreme side thinks there's only one race (also incorrect). The truth is in the middle.

If you really don't enjoy music because of lyrics, then rock and metal probably aren't for you. You would be happier in a rap board where lyrics are the only thing that matters. Hopefully you'll appreciate music for what it is someday. I didn't appreciate black metal overnight. Start with Venom and Mercyful Fate and work your way up, er, down. ;)

Look, I know what Black Metal is.. I have heard fucking Burzum, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Venom, Satyricon and all that.. And I don't like it at all.. It ain't about the lyrics.. It's about the music.. You can't judge a fucking band because of their lyrics, I know that.. That's just stupid.

Nope, we don't promote such music on this board. It's too easy to say you have to pass by the lyrics to enjoy the music. If these guys have such ideas, they shouldn't be listened to in my opinion.
