Title: River Phoenix
Post by: jimmythegent on December 13, 2005, 10:21:09 PM
Who here is a fan?

I thought he was a very talented actor and it's a real shame he died so young.

I particularly enjoyed 'Running on empty'. That happens to be one of my all time favourite movies.

Definately a fan of River : ok:

My favorite movie was probably Stand by Me..they just dont make movies that good, and honest anymore.

It really is a tragedy how he died so young, with so much talent still in him, but he was surrounded by addiction during adolesence therefore its questionable whether he even had a chance.

Anthony Kiedis was a close friend of River's and if your interested, theres alot of mentions and stories about him in Anythony's book.

I'm also a fan of his. He was a really gifted actor.

Stand By Me, Dogfight, A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, The Thing Called Love, are my favorites.

I cant' beleive it's been more than 12 years since he died. Many compared him to James Dean.

Yeah, Kiedis and Flea were close friends.

I heard that too, and no doubt he would have played the part flawlessly.

Leo does that movie wonders though, truly one of his finest moments.
