Title: Obvious Plagiarism

Listen to the song Minnesota Strip, from 1978. Sound familiar? That's because in 1982 Kiss put it out as War Machine. I've just lost a little respect for the band...

Share other examples if you want.

Do you mean "Plagiarism?" and this should've went in the Kiss thread.

Why?  He's starting a new thread on people copying other people's music, not a thread on Kiss.

99% of popular music is plagiarised ins some way shape or form.

its probably not deliberate, but just the limitations of the western music system.

I find that the riff intro of wicker man's Iron Maiden is very familiar (for not saying the same)  as Running wild's Judas priest
and also Bruce Dickinson's Road to hell riff intro very familiar to riff solo of Helloween's I want out.

I make typos and I don't care.   :P Yes, Iron Maiden stole Judas Priest's riff for The Wicker Man, which was a throwaway radio song anyway. By the way, Stryper's Makes Me Wanna Sing also rips off that riff. Lots of bands have stolen that riff, but only Judas Priest can do it properly!

Cigarettes and Alcohol by Oasis

The music is a blatent rip off of

Get it On (Bang A Gong) by T-Rex

I lost all respect for Oasis because of that and on their first album too, then the whole Wonderwall fiasco happend on album 2, what a bunch of jokers

I've heard people say that Nirvana's SLTS is a rip-off of Boston's "More than a feeling."

SLTS is extremely similar to More than a Feeling. From the opening riff, to the end of both songs, there consistently alike throughout.

By the way, Ive mentioned this before but no one bit, Axl ripped off John Paul John's bass riff for "Stairway" and used it in Madagascar.

Dont believe me? Check out the Rio performance, Tommy's bass is really audible there vs. the '02 shows.
