I think Aerosmith looked at it like they were passing the torch to the next great American rock n' roll band & weren't really concerned if some band 1/2 their age overshadowed them a little.

But like W. Botaxl Rose said, I think they knew what they were getting into..

Joe Perry is Slash's idol. Steven Tyler told Adler and Duff and Slash to be careful wit alcohol, gave them some good advice. Aerosmith also did a second tour with Guns during the Illusion days. I remember reading an article about that. Izzy also said Tyler warned him that if he starts to see "worms" then it's time to quit the drugs. And then Izzy did hallucinate about worms coming out of his drawer and he knew he had to clean himself up. I think Tyler and Perry are very good friends with Slash and Izzy. we need IzzyDutch to tell us which article this was in!
