Title: Toronto T.T.C Shutdown Post by: Malcolm on May 29, 2006, 08:24:14 AM T.T.C. service was completely shut down Monday morning as a labour dispute between management and workers boiled over, leaving thousands of commuters stranded.
It's unclear exactly what the unexpected strike is about at this point, with safety concerns and disputes over shift changes being mentioned as possible reasons. There's no word on when service might be up and running again.
