just read it in the daily news that tommy hilfiger and axl rose got into a fist fight in axl's booth at plum ... It wasn't gossip either page two of the new york daily news.... Sorry if it's old news.. I had read someone said a club goer, but it was 50something designer tommy over a spilled drink..

According to The Plumm owner Noel Ashman, Hilfiger who took two swings at Rose, was fortunate that he found Rose in good spirits and a forgiving mood. Ashman said "Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger."

Rose, who was at the club to play a surprise acoustic set with his band Guns N' Roses for actress Rosario Dawson's birthday party, filled out a police report and later dedicated the song "You're Crazy" to "My good friend Tommy Hilfiger" during the band's scorching performance, which left the way beyond capacity crowd screaming for more and gasping for air well into the wee hours of the morning. Said birthday girl Dawson of Rose: "They've never played all acoustic, this is history in the making, how much does this fucking man rock?!"

I went on Tommy Hilfiger's yacht/yaught in Ibiza and it was the coolest yacht I have ever seen.  It was like 3 or 4 decks with two speed boats on it and a helicopter as well with full staff and well it was unreal.

Tommy Hilfiger says he's proud of standing up for himself after a nightclub fistfight with rocker Axl Rose, in which the diminutive designer found himself thrown in a heap on the sidewalk.

The News' Jeffrey Slonim, an eyewitness, said Hilfiger "was slugging as hard as he could with bouncers for about five minutes" before security at the Plumm on W. 14th St. evicted him around 12:25 a.m. yesterday.


The fight started after Rose tried to move the drink of Hilfiger's girlfriend, Dee Ocleppo, which he thought was in the way.


According to a source: "She was sitting next to Tommy, and Axl may have jostled her a little. Tommy put his hand out, Axl grabbed Tommy's arm and pushed it hard, and Tommy came back with a fist."


And it was on!


Rose, who was slated to perform with his current Guns N' Roses lineup, was not removed from the club. A witness says: "After Tommy was thrown out, his shirt was open and he was so agitated he hurried off to his limo."


A female friend who followed him into the car reported: "He said he felt good about it because he stood up for himself."


Lenny Kravitz, who was attending Rosario Dawson's birthday party at the club, was overheard telling Rose: "It's a good thing you didn't punch back, you would have taken his head off!"


Other celebs through the door that night included Mickey Rourke, Kid Rock, Peter Beard, Molly Simms, Wentworth Miller, Ann Dexter Jones, Lydia Hearst and Damon Dash.


Rose seemed energized by the fight, even dedicating a song to his sparring partner. "This one goes down for my friend Tommy Hilfiger," he said as he took the stage, with what appeared to be a red mark under one eye. "It's called 'You're Crazy.'"


Hilfiger's spokeswoman had no comment yesterday.

May 20, 2006 -- Tommy Hilfiger really showed his "Appetite for Destruction" yesterday when he pummeled Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose in a dispute over a VIP table at Rosario Dawson's birthday party, sources said.

The midnight turf battle erupted when Axl moved Hilfiger's girlfriend's drink in the banquette area of The Plumm nightclub on West 14th Street - where the "Rent" actress was celebrating her 27th birthday.

A densely packed crowd of celebs - including Lenny Kravitz and Kid Rock - had ringside seats to the battle.

The feisty fashionista was acting all gangsta, hitting Axl with a flurry of punches, one that landed under Rose's eye.

"First [Axl and Tommy] were sitting. Then they were pulling on each other . . . It got so out of control," said a shocked witness.

As the punch-up escalated, Hilfiger introduced Rose to some "November Pain" with a blow to the cheek. Club guards quickly tried to separate the men.

"A bunch of security ran over - but Tommy would not back down. He was just out to take him down," the witness said.

"Kid Rock got trampled by people running over. It was unbelievable."

Eventually, the designer's own bodyguard pulled him out of the club.

Yesterday, club owner Noel Ashman pointed the finger at Hilfiger: "Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate, as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger."

Rose said the attack was unprovoked, in an interview with The Post in his dressing room.

The singer said Hilfiger may have been angry because he'd been told to move to make room for Rose and his entourage.

Rose described Hilfiger as "foaming at the mouth."

When Rose took the stage a few minutes later to perform the song "You're Crazy," he dedicated it "to my good friend Tommy Hilfiger."


Kid Rock, wearing a black-brimmed hat and smoking a cigar, took his fellow rocker's side, and explained that Hilfiger was upset because he is way further down on the fame food chain.

The hierarchy, according to Kid Rock, begins with mere mortals and works its way up to sports stars.

"After that it's movie stars, then rock stars, then Michael Jordan." Hilfiger is somewhere between a mere mortal and a sports star in this ranking.

Lenny Kravitz seemed to side with Hilfiger, and also fled the club soon after Hilfiger got the heave-ho.

Hilfiger's peeps would not comment yesterday.

Tommy Hilfiger says he's proud of standing up for himself after a nightclub fistfight with rocker Axl Rose, in which the diminutive designer found himself thrown in a heap on the sidewalk.

The News' Jeffrey Slonim, an eyewitness, said Hilfiger "was slugging as hard as he could with bouncers for about five minutes" before security at the Plumm on W. 14th St. evicted him around 12:25 a.m. yesterday.

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose was involved in a scuffle with fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger at a celebrity party earlier this week.

The singer was at the Plumm nightclub in New York where Guns N' Roses performed an acoustic set to celebrate the birthday of actress Roasario Dawson.

Before the band took to the stage, Rose was repeatedly punched in the arm by fashion guru Hilfiger, who was escorted from the venue by security guards.

Speaking about the incident on KROQ radio on Friday morning, Rose claimed the incident occurred after he asked Hilfiger to move his date's drink so it wouldn't get knocked over.

He said Hilfiger became angry and hit him and swore at him before being kicked out of the club. Rose described the incident as "the most surreal thing that has happened in my life".

Plumm owner Noel Ashman added: "Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate, as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger."

When Rose finally took to the stage he dedicated song 'You're Crazy' to "my good friend Tommy Hilfiger" before inviting birthday girl Dawson on stage to serenade her with 'Sweet Child O' Mine'.

NEW YORK (AP) ? It was a one-two encounter between Axl Rose and Tommy Hilfiger. The rocker and designer capped a Thursday evening out at a new club called The Plumm in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood with midnight fisticuffs.
"There was an issue between the two of them," Plumm owner Noel Ashman told The Associated Press.

The scuffle reportedly started after the Guns N' Roses front man moved the drink of Hilfiger's girlfriend, Dee Ocleppo.

"I moved his girlfriend's drink so it wouldn't spill," Rose told the Los Angeles radio station KROQ on Friday. "It was the most surreal thing, I think, that's ever happened to me in my life."

According to the 44-year-old singer, Hilfiger, 55, smacked him in the arm and told him to put the drink back.

"He just kept smacking me," Rose said.

Attempts to reach Hilfiger or a representative were not immediately successful.

Rose was there to play a surprise set for Rent actress Rosario Dawson for her 27th birthday party.

It's unfair, but that's to be expected from tabloid journalism.? It's the price of fame.? Look at Tom Cruise - while some of the bad press is his own doing, most of it is bullshit designed to knock the world's biggest movie star down a peg.? So Axl will always have to deal with bad press and, in any case, over his 20 years in the business, I would say he's managing quite well.

My dad came in laughing today from work and told my mom and I how he heard on the radio that "Axl Rose got beat up by Tommy Hilfiger". At that exact moment both of them laughed out loud hysterically. Although, he became silent when I told him the truth...You know, when even my dad hears of this shit I know that this stuff is spreadin' fast.

Although, it just baffles me how much the tabloids and radio DJs twist the story. How could get Axl beat up if there wasn't even a fight? I saw the Oprah show in which she addressed the racist remark rumor. It is pure ficition. This is not to say that Mr. Hilfiger still isn't an annoying twat who is milking his cheap shot as some justification of his masculinity. But more power to him: if anyone really believes that slapping someone across the face than falling back behind security guards constitutes a victorious physical altercation, then obviously you haven't ever been in a real fight.

? A co-worker of mine saw a quick interview with Tommy Hilfiger on either Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday night.? From the sound of what she said, Hilfiger had no comment on the incident, but was wearing a GNR shirt, and from the description, it was my favorite of the new shirts, the 2 pistols and roses with the GNR up top, and Guns N' Roses toward the bottom.?
