Title: TORRENT- 2006-05-14 Hammerstein Ballroom NYC
Post by: darknemus on June 10, 2006, 01:45:38 AM
Hey all.

I've uploaded the Torrent for May 14th's DVDs here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/336004

Pretty much anyone should be able to grab it from that link.

Enjoy!

(edited to add the txt file I included w/ the torrent)

Here's the text file included w/ the torrent - please take a moment to read it - thank you.

Quote
Guns n' Roses @ The Hammerstein.  Night#2 - May 14, 2006.

Special thanks to: Guns n' Roses for coming back and putting together a string of kick-ass shows.  The various GNR fan forums for keeping the dream alive, so to speak.  Anyone and everyone that SHARES their collection with others.  Merck Mercuriadis for putting together the pre-sales for these shows so that the hardcore fans could get in.  Hmm.. who else.  Oh yeah, Pilferk, BurningHills, AxlGunner, Saffron, Fieldsy, C0ma, CindysCrazy, and everyone else from the 'riddle era'.  You guys rock.

Oh, and a quick 'die in a fire' wish to: Anyone who hoards.  If you hoard, you suck.  Let those testes drop for a change, man up, and actually give back to the community that's given you so much.  There's a special place in hell for you.  Its the one where you get serenaded every single night by John Bon Jovi while being anally raped by Oprah w/ a strap-on.  Putz.

Notes: 2 DVDs.  Appears to have been shot from balcony, no close-ups (that I've seen, anyway.. just browsed through real quick)  Definitely not the best DVD I've ever seen, but its not that bad, either.

Audio - B+ / A- (alot of that is due to the mix within the Hammerstein, itself.

Video - B-

Sorry, no info on Lineage.  Except from what I did w/ the discs.  DVD Decrypter > You :)

Thanks !   :D

I only have one question : why did you put it on mininova and not Dime? I assume it's so everyone can get it, but the problem is that mininova has no ratio policy, so everyone will be gone as soon as they're finished. It was my understanding that you wanted people to seed as long as possible. Just wondering  ???

I think he did it because he wsnt able to uplad to dime, ut rest assure that one people have the show(like myself) we will be seeding and spredding them on all formats. :)

Jazjme's answer is essentially correct.  I did this to basically get it to a few people relatively quickly so that it will be spread from that point on.  Mini wasn't my first choice, trust me - but it'll do for now, I suppose.

Can you help me figure why the DVD skips from song to song every 1-2 sec?

Have you finished downloading it?

If not then it's because bittorrent downloads pieces from the file in random order basically.  It does not download from beggining to end.

btw, once one of you grabs this whole show, I'd really appreciate it if you'd turn around and throw it on Dime or one of the other trackers.  I just don't have upload access to Dime yet, or I would have.

Thanks, Dark.  Your torrent is moving nicely.  Can't say the same for the 12th or the 17th since there are no seeds.  I'm leaving my files up for a couple days so everyone can pull off of them.

If any of you out there have the 12th and the 17th, by all means seed them!  Thanks.

I couldn't use BitTornado for some reason.  I swiched to BitLord and was able to start the download.  It did take a very long time to connect though.

This Mini Nova tracker isn't that great.  Plus the goddamn site gave me a virus.  That's what I get for looking for more GNR there!   ;D

There is a simple solution to you not having upload status on DIME.  Just make the torrent with the announce for DIME and let someone else upload the torrent file.  You then just have to grab the torrent file and start seeding.

Yeah, Mini does kind of suck.. however, the fact that a bunch of people are on the file, at least initially, does mean you guys will get it quicker.  At that point once I see 10 or so seeds I'll drop this and move on to the show from the 15th.  I'll get someone to post it on Dime.  I'm fine with that.

Setlist:

Welcome to the Jungle
It's So Easy
Mr. Brownstone
Rocket Queen
The Blues
Live And Let Die
Richard Fortus Guitar Solo
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Better
You COuld Be Mine
Robin Finck Guitar Solo
Sweet Child O' Mine
November Rain
Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal Guitar Solo
Chinese Democracy
My Michelle (w/ Sebastian Bach)
Patience
Nightrain
Robin Finck Guitar Solo
Paradise City

Still downloading this, but I have a question about the set list.  I could have SWORNE that they played Out to Get Me on this night.  The song was drilled into my head so to speak.

Was it just skipped on this recording, or is the set list above not correct?

Edit= I just checked the set list in the thread about this show.  In there, it shows that Out To Get Me was after SCOM.  So I guess the question still stands, but now I know that I'm not really as out there as I thought I might be ;D

OK, I managed to finally connect to this show and it says I have 120 days remaining to download.  Is there a particular client that everyone else is using that works better with mininova?  I use Bittorrent and this works fine when I seed and download on dime, in fact I am getting great speeds there.  Any insight would be helpful.

I am using bittornado now and I think it might be a tad faster but it is also telling me there are no seeds, only peers at least who I am connected to.  Ahh well, we shall see what happens with this one, if it takes forever I will just wait for it to hopefully be posted somewhere else.
