Post by: no more patience on August 06, 2006, 04:05:25 AM
now that europe is over...we would expect to see gnr to do a North American Tour...

You think Vancouver would accept Axl again after 2 no shows and a riot?

any other write offs?

I'm in Jersey, closer to philly than New York but when GNR comes to America I'm definitely seeing them in NYC. New Yorks been magic for the new band and even if they do come to Philly I got to believe it's going to be an ugly scene. Hell Pierre Robert will probably be calling for Axl's assasination if he comes back to Philly w/out first coming on WMMR to blow him on air.

He'll hit New England. Probably Worcester Mass because of it's central location. That will probably be the only New England Date.

I would hope they'd hit Hartford, CT.  They've put on some pretty good shows there.  And I would imagine they'd play Boston, MA unless they're gonna go with the smaller cities and venues this time around then Worcester would make sense.

Vancouver just loves to riot. Axl would have no problem coming back to Vancouver, but I believe he's banned from GM place, so he would have to play at the Pacific Coliseum. Axl, I say fuck Vancouver, come to Victoria, and play the Save on Foods Centre.

Hamilton, Ontario.

Not going to happen. This city is only for washed up bands like Aerosmith.

Yes Vancouver got off to a smashing start didnt it?

I hope for the North American Tour, Axl opens in Toronto.

Since well they were suppose to open in Vanny.

Boston in 2002 was one of the best-selling gigs of the tour.

i would almost guarantee they play the Banknorth Garden out of any New England venue.

Yeah, but will the owners (ie. large corporation) of the only stadium in the city want GnR to try to play there again. They own both the Wachovia Center and Spectrum (New and old hockey & basketball stadiums) so if they refuse, that's the only large venue in town and take a hike Axl.

gnr could play the tweeter center in camden, nj, which many bands play as their philly date. it's about 2 miles from center city philadelphia.

or Atlantic City, not TOO far from Philly if i'm not mistaken.

GNR in AC would be totally sick.  not sure how big the venues are though.

what does the size of the venue matter...in 2002 they had trouble selling those big venues with only a handful of exceptions...and they aren't offering anything much different in the way of a setlist...so c'mon newbies...open up those wallets and give it all away :hihi: :hihi:

If you don't live in Mass you have to understand that Worcester is like in another state.
GNR have played Worcester, but they also played Boston..

they will not skip Boston, it was a huge stop last time around : ok:

CAUSE BEANTOWN NOW HOW TO BRING IT, SON!!

I don't see why he wouldn't play Boston.  I saw GN'R with BUckethead a few years ago and it was a great show.

why would you say that? That would be a dumb move to write off a market of that size...

So is this thread for cities we want them to play, or don't want them to play?

Title: Re: write off cities for GNR
Post by: Mattattack on August 09, 2006, 01:39:50 AM
GnR can play in any city. Maybe they've been banned from certain venues, but I don't believe they've been banned from any cities, states, or provinces. It's just a matter of Axl being able to keep his cool if the fans start giving him a hard time about prior incidents. I think Axl should step up and be a man and play in Montreal, Vancouver, St Louis, and Philadelphia. If Axl could play those cities and be a pro, that would go a long way to restoring his credibility, along with releasing CD of course.

PS- Axl I don't mind if you skip Vancouver, just as long as you come to Victoria.
