Title: What scale is Slash's Godfather played in?
Post by: Clarepants on October 04, 2006, 02:49:21 PM
I wasn't sure whether to put this in dead horse or here.  I'm guessing its played in d major to b minor but i'm probably wrong?

slash's version of godfather can be found on ultimate-guitar.com, i compared the tabs with the scales, and d maj to b minor is pretty close

It's on D Minor (or F major). Guitar tuned down half step.

Dminor is correct. When I end the song, I always finish with a D minor chord, sounds fabolous... Too bad my actual playing ain't even close to Slash at those last parts...

Yes its a D Minor/F Major but i blieve that he adds a C# note which makes it a D Harmonic Minor.
