Well, atleast i know i'm not the only one who got screwed by this guy.
I don't see the point of taking dvd-r's and running.  but, on the plus side, we do have this guy's address.......

What show did he say he had? Sladdi's friend is the only one who has it...

He said he had shows like London Acoustic, wembley which i traded for, along with other shows such as 'moline 02', nottingham, baltimore and so on, who is sladdi's friend?

like i said, its a bit too early to be saying things like that, i hope it does come, I still have little hope but im just a little concerned, I would like to hear from anyone else who has traded him in particular.

I told you Cotis he was scaming you!? :P

yeah...good thing he didn't contact me back : ok: haha or else I'd be fucked like everyone else

But if those of you who want Baltimore, NJ or MSG...let me know. I really seriously do have them, except for MSG which is coming tomorrow or so.

Baltimore - 2 DVD Set *creator put 11/10 as date on menu on accident, instead of 11/13*
NJ - 2 DVD, 2 cam (seems like 3 cam mix to me) *GREAT VIDEO...REALLY REALLY GOOD!! MUST HAVE*
MSG - don't have it, but guy said I got it from said it was better than NJ and best DVD in a long time.

Whom ever sent him the clip that's on the site.

Can't remember his name.

If he doesn't send then as far as I'm concerned its bang out of order, what a dirty trick to play on fans like us making out we have chances to get such shows.  I wouldn't be able to describe in words how disappointed I'd be :'(

Title: Re: SCAM: London Acoustic show
Post by: acdcUSSR on December 08, 2006, 07:21:26 PM
Alex22 is a joke. He's given us 2-3 address, none of them match up to his name on whitepages.com. He said that these are either his relatives or his landlord. What doesn't make sense is scamming GNR fans out of DVDs, but then he doesn't even receive the DVDs we send him (I don't believe any of the addresses he has given us are his or his relative's/landlord's).
He told me the post office was holding the package for 8 days because of Christmas. C'MON! No post office in the US does that.
People keep saying that he didn't know how to take screens. I gave him links to programs that could, but he said he has dial up and can't download them. I asked him if he has Windows Media Player (which will allow you to take screens if you tweek it). He said he doesn't know what that is. I asked him what he used to play DVDs and other media on his computer. I have not received a return e-mail after a week of waiting.

Here's the topic that was on gnrotgm.com/forum: http://www.gnrotgm.com/forum/index.php?topic=3601.0
My post about him is on page 3. 1st one.

The US post office does not hold mail.  In fact during the Christmas season they sometimes even deliver on days there is no mail service because there is so much.

That really sucks that people got screwed though!

I wonder if he has read this topic?  As i said earlier in the thread the silence worries me the most.  If he is as you say, a joke...then where the hell does it get him being like that?? :o

Highly unlikely. This guy lives in the States right? These shows were in London, highly unlikely they would surface stateside before they do here!

Well he did say he moved to the USA for the benefit of his fiancee's relatives or something.  And he did say he personally filmed the acoustic show, not just having it, also FILMED it.

Lol! This guy is a character. He told me he moved to the US because of financial problems. He also told me he filmed NONE of the shows, that he just had the masters.

Title: Re: SCAM: London Acoustic show
Post by: gnfnr_87 on December 10, 2006, 12:31:55 PM
This makes no sense whatsoever, but now it seems that

1. He doesn't have ANY of the shows he says he has
2. He Never filmed any either

3? The guy has a weird problem of some sort...

NO WAY... i was at the accoustic show & i can garantee you nobody filmed it, i mean with a real video camera. maybe he may have few poor seconds or minutes filmed with a mobile phone & even that, i can say it was hard to do cause security was so close they could watch everybody & so axl & so gio & so everybody. it was so small everybody could see everybody & a taper, especially filming would have been stopped for sure. i garantee. have you an idea how small are 100 people in a room. maybe a poor audio may have been recorded but that s all. & i say a poor audio cos the sound in the venue was not so loud & ppl singing were most of the time louder. so the audience recordings if there are must be really poor, unless taper(s) were in front row. what is sure is that there was 2 semi-pro dvcam filming for the band i think, it was totally official. but i guess you all know that already.

Title: Re: SCAM: London Acoustic show
Post by: gnfnr_87 on December 10, 2006, 04:18:08 PM
yeah well, by the sound of what youve told me about that show, i guess the only possibility that someone else filmed it would have been if this guy was a pro at hiding a video camera, either that or it just looked like a normal camera to some or that it was very compact.

Title: Re: SCAM: London Acoustic show
Post by: wewantslash on December 10, 2006, 04:42:53 PM
well, even a pro at hiding would have been seen i guess. unless his name is james bond or has special spy camera i 'd say it was quite impossible, & i do mean that as i was looking for tapers & looking around quite often but saw nobody on video.
of course one never know, i'd like to be wrong.
or maybe that guy may have access to official films in the gnr crew. in that case there is 2 complete vidz. that last solution wouldnt suprised me at all as roadies surfaced many shows in the past & i'm sure they'll do it again in the future for sure... &  that's soon xmas.  ;D

Title: Re: SCAM: London Acoustic show
Post by: gnfnr_87 on December 10, 2006, 04:53:43 PM
well, come to think of it, why would he claim to film it and then instead say he has general possession of it?  I hope he's read this topic...

Sounds to me like this fucker is nothing more than that... A FUCKER!!!!  I hope for everyones sake that traded with him that you don't get ripped, but it's probably not going to happen that way. What a fucking douche bag!!!  I've never understood people that take other peoples shit (money, cd's, dvd's, etc.) and never send anything back.  Those people are fucking idiots.  I think it's so much easier to tell the truth, trade fairly, send shit out on time than to make up lie after lie after lie.  Why wouldn't you want to be liked and trusted in the GN'R community (or whatever band it may be) if you love the band??  Why ruin your chances of trading forever and after?? Someone had the idea to sticky a thread to the top of this page and list the bad traders that we know of and I think that shit should be done soon.  This guy could fuck someone else very soon and it won't stop until we make an attempt to stop his punk ass!!!

well what can I say, except thanks to timebomb for providing solid evidence proving Alex22 was scamming us all along, and EFISH had some involvement as well, all I have to say is YOU BOTH SUCK!!!!!!!! >:(

So everyone give the pair of them a round of applause for committing such a moronic act and fucking up the GN'R trading community even more than ever.

here is what i showed gngnr_87

opart of my aol convo as proof

his own words saved conversation

AlxGnr: I feel terrible. I did not plan on screwing everyone I traded with. You were on that list, but now after seeing what a smart and honest prson you are I can't help but to feel like the lowest scum on the face of the Earth. I still planned on sending The Rock In Rio 3 dvd tomorrow (the 9th) regardless of what I lied about earlier (sending you the London and Wembley shows)Also another dvd I have as a present for you which I will still send. I realized what a good trader you are and how you like to make nice. I like that. After dealing woth you I have decided to be like you int hat area. For this I am more than happy enough to try and trade for the dvds you need and give them to you in FAIR and real trades. We can count what you sent has the trades for them: or I can send them back and send you 8 discs.

he addmitted to ripping these 2 off

gnr1071: who did u ripp off what did u get
AlxGnr: GNFR_87 and USSRACDC I traded

No, I didn't mean you. I mean why is the guy who started the thread mad at people for exposing a scammer (even if you weren't involved)? Isn't it a good thing that the guy is exposed, so other people don't get scammed?
