Title: Pedal Question
Post by: Verse Chorus Verse on May 08, 2007, 04:41:43 PM
I'm looking at pedals withing a range of $50 to $100 USD (Absolute most is $100), and I've already seen two choices that sound good, but I wanted an opinion.

The first choice is:
A.) http://www.zzounds.com/item--BOSDS1

And the Second is
B.) http://www.zzounds.com/item--BOSSD1

And if you have any other suggestions in a small price range, feel free to post them.

Hard Rock and maybe a touch of punk, really. I'm really just needing some kind of crunch, though.

What are you using for an amp?
I got a Marshall JCM 900 and I can dial in the same sound as a DS-1 and
a Turbo Rat. That's why I asked what kind of amp you have.

I have a 10W Bassola 10...I can't afford anything except a free amp, sadly.

Does your amp need a distortion channel to use a pedal?

Generally you use a pedal on the clean channel.

One last question: What cords do you need to connect it to the amp? I know there's the guitar cord (dur) but I don't know what kind of cord to use to plug the pedal into the amp with.

Any signal or instrument cable. A speaker cable is totally different. That's just for the amp-to-speaker connection.
