Title: Downloading Videos on a Mac!!!
Post by: JonnyZ322 on June 24, 2007, 03:41:38 PM
What's happening gunners!!  I just bought a new Mac, and I can't figure it out for shit.  I can't figure out how to download and watch a video.  I have quicktime, and I downloaded Divx.  I've tried downloading some of the videos on the newgnr.com website, but I can't get them to play.  they are wmv.  DO those play on a mac?  On my pc i used to right click and save target as, but there is no right click on this, can anybody help me?  any information will be helpful.  Thanks so much, I will be eternally grateful.

Quicktime is more of a virus than an application.

Dont believe these Idiots.

To Download, click over the link you want to download while holding the option/alt button.  This should pop up your save as wondow.

or download a VLC Player and that will usually play anything, but its picky with WMV Files.

Also, try reading over your manual it has all the usual key strokes listed your PC would have.

by the way, once you get used to your MAC you will always wonder why you didnt use them before.  PC's are nothing but a mind field of problems.

ive been using Macs since 2003 and they are a Dream for anyone editing, authoring, or creating  media.

good luck....

With Windows Media? Components for QuickTime, by Flip4Mac?, you can play Windows Media files (.wma and .wmv) directly in QuickTime Player and view Windows Media content on the Internet using a Web browser.

Control Click -> Save Target As.

And, WMV should play, I've got the G5 and WMP and WMV plays fine, without flip4mac.
