Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I bought it yesterday after school, in 24 hours I've gotten through 300 pages. Nikki Sixx was extremely fucked up in the beginning of the book, its a great read though. Interesting book design.

Theres a few of GNR mentions, with him partying with Adler and Slash,  including Slash, pissing in his sleep on Nikki's guest bed when he was drunk.  :hihi:
I haven't reached the part where GNR joins the tour though.

Anyone else picked up yet? Thoughts?

Lots of stories about Slash!!! I love how he was like , my friends slash band opened for us , no one believed in them they where some shitty garage rock band but i saw it in there eyes they where headed some where...the lead singer is kinda dick i can see vince and him bumping heads haha!! :beer:

and then Sixx talks about some kid he met in Toronto, who could "sing his balls off" and told him "you just watch, I'm gonna be a star someday..." The kid later joined skid Row and became Sebastian Bach. Pretty cool.

I haven't read the book, however, his story about the "adrinelin shot", after a heroin overdose, to the heart just does not ring true. When one "goes out" on smack, Med. professionals push Naloxone I.V., not adrenilin.

..honestly, Nikki Sixx is not an intelligent guy, he couldnt tell the difference between aspirin and chocolate cake - so i wouldnt worry about that one line

Awesome book......great CD too, i picked up the book the day it came out and read the whole thing right away...could not put it down

Kinda interesting how the part about Nikki OD:ing differs from Steven's version of the event.

STEVEN ADLER: I saved Nikki's life. I dragged him into the shower and put cold water on him. I had a broken arm and I was slapping him in the face with my cast. Then I finally got Slash's stupid girlfriend to call the paramedics. Nikki called me the next day and said, "Dude, what happened? My face is killing me."

In the book Slash's girlfriend at the time says she and Steven dragged Nikki into the bathroom. Then she says Steven ran off and she tried to get Nikki into the shower while Slash smashed the shower screen. She screamed for somebody to call 911.

Yeah, that's interesting, but I'm sure EVERYBODY involved were REALLY fucked up too....so it's impossible to tell exacty what happened.

    Sixx was on Opie and Anthony today and he was pretty cool and sounded like his shit was together.  He lives in the same gated community with Ozzy, Mellisa Etherige and Howie Mandel and others.  Howie said everyone in the area has musical talent except for me the guy with OCD.  Sixx responded with well Howie and myself have no musical talent.  He said he'll be back to hang out for longer and get in trouble with O & A.
    He has been on the show many times where Tommy after being called a pussy by Opie refuses to go on anymore.  He came on to plug something and hung up when they asked Tommy to defend himself against Pamela's saying Tommy gave her Hepatitis.  He called back when he heard them calling him a pussy for not defending himself and said if you call me a pussy one more time..."Pussy" was yelled back by Opie and Tommy hung up and now refuses to go back on the show.
    Sixx made no mention of "The Motley Crue", doing anything together and did mention that he has his new band Sixx A.M.   

In defence of tommy, it is virtually impossible to give someone HCV thru sexual contact. ≈%99.9999999 are caused by blood to blood contact, i.e: sharing their "works" without bleaching.

I take what you say to be true.? It probably was Pam Anderson trying to get the kids permantly or reduce visitation or something like that.? It was the way he reacted to the question after plugging his gig that caused the rift between the radio show and Tommy Lee.? He had been on the show previously as were every other band member and there was never a problem.? He was just acting differently from his previous visit and they felt he wasn't being a regular guy or a good guest, like his band mates.? Tommy plugged his gig but they couldn't ask him anything in turn, I guess.? I guess egos were enlarged?
? ?I'll pick up the book if I find the time but I'm not really going to try too hard to make time either.? There are other books that have the edge there.? Any suggestions?

If you haven't read "Hammer of the Gods", it is a good one.

I don't deny that Tommy gave her HCV. My argument is that she shares responsiblity for catching the disease from him. If "safe practices" were used, niether one of them would be infected.
