Thought it would be fun to get the story behind some people screen names around here....


Where did you get it from??  Did someone else crown you with the name, etc??


Should be pretty obvious where mine came from... I always had a hard time picking a name I liked.. Then Loaded Nightrain, just dawned on me...
Thought it was kinda badass, so I stuck with it  :hihi:

my dad was watching enter the dragon and the english dude goes "SOME TEA MRLEE?" so he then named me lee, but calls me mrlee as a joke and its just a name that got stuck with me growing up.

I've always liked greek mythology.

I looked at my CD rack and picked the first one I saw. I nearly could have called myself 'Ballbreaker'....

The rds is just the venue I saw gnr play last year, hence the 06. I aint got much of an imagination? :'( Im thinking of cutting it back to just rds, maybe in capitals, must think more about it, its an important decision.  :hihi:

Mine is just the combination of my first name (Nicolas) and the last name of my favorite actor (Mickey Rourke).

My username is "Estranged?", because Nico was already taken when I registered at HTGTH ;)

Littlefly is a take on the english translation of my last name.  I thought it was cool when I found out :hihi:

My old barracks room in the Army was 213.
When I moved from there to a house, the address was 213.
I moved from there back to Pennsylvania and the apartment I rented turned out to be 213.

The streak has since ended, but it was neat for a while.

It's my pen name for writing screenplays, as opposed to when I work as a journalist I use my real name. Yes, my first name is Jonathan. No, I won't tell you my last name.

Very funny guy.  He was on O & A today via phone for over an hour.  He's always on their show.

He does seem to be on theri every time you turn aaround. I also like the fact  that he doesn't seem to take himself to serious.

Being of Hungarian descent, "gypsy" was the nickname my mom always called me.? I think mainly because she would say that I "dressed like a gypsy" or had "gypsy hair" and the name just sorta stuck so I guess it was true.? :hihi:

Axl4Prez2004.  Let's just say I thought Axl would make a better candidate for president than either of the choices available to me in the 2004 U.S. presidential election.  How cool would those press conferences be?  They'd always start close to midnight.  The opening chords to Jungle would summon Axl to the Oval Office.   :D

From a song called The Becoming, which deals about struggle of human and inhuman inside us, change for worse,forgetting how to feel,  losing battles and what not. I'm not sure why I picked this particular (part of) verse from the song as my screen name.

All in all, it's a very stupid screen name to have  :-\

When Id write songs, Id scribble my name on the top 'lyrics/music by and Id have lyrical ideas and Id be in a hurry so I just started scribbling a "D" instead of my full name.

years and years ago when I first got a computer and had to come up with a Yahoo screen name, I couldn't think of anything.  My friend had lent me his "Diablo: Hellfire" game.  It was on my desk...so I went with it.  "hellfire" was already taken...so I added the "can" at the end because I am Canadian.

it's the combination of 2 songs, Chinese Democracy and The Blues.

haha yes that's the original meaning behind my user name.. but not the screen name  ;) my brother gave me that one because i always wore those kind of jeans (actually i'm wearing a pair right now :rofl: )

but the screen name are a different story even though they are similar names

I guess it's not that hard to figure mine out......I've been using "axlrosegnr" for everything since I first signed up for a hotmail account like 10 years ago.

Axlander - A friend went to call me Alexander, which is my full name and Axlander came out.

Almost Famous were the last words said to be by an ex many years ago.

My first name is Cody. Someone, quite drunk at the time, called me 'Cotis' on accident and the nickname stuck since then.

The first name (Dean)  is my real name.  Its read De-Yan not dien'.
and then people Calls me Axl because Im a singer in a GNR tribute Band. and  Im not looks like Axl at all ;D.

Well the name says it all - I have done many crazy things in my life and cultivated that nickname which started by friends and not me - when I looked at this board, I realized most people already had cool names so I just went with my nickname. and of course my name is Cheryl. For real peeps. I'm not planning on running for a public office so I don't really care if someone can identify me.

Nothing really. It's just my middle name.

I've had the nickname since back in '99? I think. Alot of people seem to think it's because of Spongebob, but it's not... Honestly.

well i used to be GNRReunioneventually but Jarmo a whil eback had a problem with that and thought that i was wishing the new band to fail and teh old one to still get back together and he told me to stop living in the past and change it. So for about  a week i kept changing it cause i didn't like anything else. GNRReunion was my name on every other forum i'm on (still is) then i thought well what else do i want eventually then i thought CHINESE DEMOCRACY Eventually. So i changed then and never went back :yes:

Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with having a screename like that. It's just a reunion kind of thing. He could have all the same people in the NEW band, but along with the old members. O.o

Axl wouldn't want a reunion anyways though, so whatevz.. XDD
