Recently I've been annoyed by people that use LOL in situations that don't make sense.  For example, a Facebook post that says "What's up dude? Haven't seen you in forever....LOL."  What? How is that laugh out loud funny?

I also hate when people write like they text.  Try grading 50 English III essays written with things like: bcuz, wit, dis, 2, tha, (as in "We went 2 tha store."), idk, w/, gonna, gettin, doin, anything that is supposed to have an -ing on the end that doesn't, and cause for because.  It makes no sense.

I figured someone would say that.  It can actually be spelled either way.  I checked.  Usually when you're calling someone a "Grammar Natzi" or "Spelling Natzi", it is spelled with a "t".

Dang, I never said I was perfect!!!  :) Yep, I messed up on the off thing, (typo, of course!!! ;)), but the 'em was meant to be that way.  It was a slang term, and used correctly.  May be another one we can add to the list of slang terms that drive people crazy, right?  It does drive me crazy when students turn in work, and they have things like em, (instead of them), thinkin, and gettin written down! Some of my kiddos really think leaving the g off of the end is okay.  Also, the Natzi is correct when you're talking about a "Grammar Natzi".  I checked that one out before.
