Title: could/should/would GNR pull a Metallica? Post by: serp616 on June 02, 2012, 04:14:36 PM how awesome wouldn't it be to have GNR do the same as 'tallica and offer every show as a SBD FLAC for the fans, like fan club exclusive at a reasonable rate obviously.....
is it totally not doable, or could this be a plan down the pipeline? after all, the streams have happened, and apparently will continue to happen. i for one would most definately be down with paying for something like that while we wait for the next album chapter to unfold. It would be great. 10 bucks a show isn't a bad price if you ask me, its for a 2 1/2 hour show. Ive bought about 10 or so from the Metallica site over the years.

I think GNR should do this, maybe not with every tour, but they should do it with some shows Having said that, you're going to find people who will say this takes away from the specialty of seeing the band on the night (such as when the band played TWAT in Dublin) and you're going to have people downloading shows and distributing them online for free such as what has happened with a lot of Metallica's shows...maybe that's just the nature of the game though |
